Dr. Priya Swamy, MD

Dr Swamy is a kind and compassionate provider. She has been my PCP since I was teenager and growing into adulthood, I recommend her to all my female colleagues. I never feel rushed or misunderstood and it’s never a hassle or struggle to get scheduled.

I had an awful experience in my first appointment with Dr. Swamy, and I personally will not be seeing her again. During my visit I felt that she was very rushed to have me out of there. When speaking to her about my health concerns and an injury I had acquired out of country, her tone and demeanor were passive aggressive and demeaning. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable and belittled in a professional setting, so it was especially shocking and disappointing to receive such treatment from someone I was trusting with my health.

Dr Swamy accepted a late appointment and then proceeded to make a big deal about how she accommodated me when this was already discussed with the team at the front desk instead of focusing on the actual physical. She got started after I pointed out that she decided to see me. She can focus on entering the right details regarding my family's medical history and making her patients feel calm and looked after during the appointment.

Standard physical, but of course she's part of the corporate medical care complex. It felt like she was reciting a script. No genuine thought going into it. When I told her that my only form of exercise was walking the dog, she advised.that I get more rigorous exercise without even considering my health background. I experience chronic fatigue and overexercising feels like a strain yo my system. Im not averse to rigorous workouts -- in fact used to have a problem with overexercising. It was a bit ableist and careless. I had to ask to be referred to an endocrinologist - no mention if it from her. I want a pcp who will take the time to consider my needs. Otherwise wellness checks are pointless.
