Horribly dismissive. Tried to devalue my actual emg and mri results. Has the worst attitude of you ask any questions. I noticed her horrible rating before I started seeing her and tried giving her a chance. Please do not do this and prolong your treatment/recovery

horrible doctor
Dr Rani was rude and dismissive. She talked down to my son because he has developmental delays, and every question I asked her she asked me what I wanted to do. I was so frustrated, I did not get any answers to the questions I asked.

SO UNPROFESSIONAL
Dr. Rani should not even be considered a neurologist. She blames all neurological issues on 'migraines' that's her answer to everything then wants to pile on a bunch of meds that do not work. She likes to admit her patients in the hospital or send them to the ER for 'migraine treatment' but yet again does nothing to truly help & will NOT listen to your concerns & will straight argue with you when trying to explain to her while in tears that I know my body & i know something isn't right. This is not from 'migraines'. I am leaving her & getting a new neurologist that shows compassion & truly cares for their patients. I was recently admitted into the hospital for 'migraine treatment' by Rani & I seen her 1 time out of the 5 days I was there so her team sees you & they are just as terrible, unprofessional & no bedside manners. Please for you or your family health find another neurologist. This is truly sad!!! Some ppl should never get their medical license & she is one of them.

See another neurologist
Dr. Rani shouldn’t be a doctor. She’s arrogant and doesn’t listen to her patient's concerns. Prescribes medications without fully explaining purpose or side effects. “If you worry about all the side effects, you’ll never take medication.” My daughter is overweight, something we already knew. All Dr. Rani wanted to discuss was how overweight she was. Never addressed concerns about why she was having headaches. We were very disappointed with Dr.Rani and her lack of care and compassion. We won’t be seeing her again and we suggest you see another Neurologist if you want someone who cares about your health and is willing to help you and listen to your concerns.

Waste of my time!
Dr. Rani Did not listen to me or take any time to explain things .I was a new patient so I believe new patients are supposed to get 30 minutes with the Dr., And 15 minutes if you are not new. I never felt like she wanted to be in the room with me, she hurried through my Appt. I went there scared and for some answers, I had an abnormal MRI of my brain. I was told by my Internist Dr. That I had small vessel ischemic disease. Dr. Rani said I had white matter disease, I told her I wanted to talk about the small vessel disease and she said I would need to make another appointment to talk about another diagnosis. I told her I recently fell down because I have terrible dizziness, so she says stand up and walk for me, so I stood up and took 3-4 steps because the room was so small. How in the hell would she be able to see that I'm off balance when I only walked a few steps. She did NOT take my situation seriously.at this point I'm crying, my husband was with me and feels the same way, mean Dr.!

Avoid this Doctor at All Costs! If you are seeking a neurologist: Run far far away! I chose SSM Neurology Lake St Louis as I cannot drive. BIG MISTAKE. This doctor did not want to listen to me and only wanted to argue. This doctor showed no real interest in helping me. Now when I went to schedule a second opinion with another neurologist, I was told I couldn't because I was "already established with her". RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM HER. Oh and her staff are rude!

Dr Rani is competent AND nice. If I had to receive such a horrific diagnosis better to be receiving it from such a sweet face.

Dr. Rani was the first doctor in years to listen to what I was saying and not jump to the easy conclusion. She ordered the tests I asked for and as a result found 3 thorasic ruptured discs, and many lumbar problems in addition to my already known cervical spine issues.. Additionally, tests found considerable vitamin D and Potassium depletion. She was instrumental in helping me find other professionals to help me heal. While her schedule is trying, she is thorough and will cover all avenues.

Extreme wait at my 1st appointment. Told me to wean off meds which I am doing. Called for refill of imitrex when she is aware I have 15 or more migraines a month. Told me to go to ER for evaluation. $1200.00 a pop for treatment of migraines not evaluated. That is what she is for. Extremely upset she offered no other option except Botox clinic when it opens.
