Dr. Jacob is amazing
Dr. Prema Jacob is a truly wonderful and caring person. She is more like family than just my pcp. When I first moved to Colorado in 2022, my health was in bad shape. With her care and guidance, I now can enjoy life 85lbs lighter and in the best health I’ve had in decades. She truly cares. Anyone that has a problem with her, is the kind of person that can’t be satisfied by anything. I have white-coat syndrome, and actually do not dread having to go to my appointments with her.We love Dr. J!!!!

My mom just had a visit with Dr Jacob this afternoon. She left in tears. She waited for 1hr and 40mins to have a 5 min. appointment. She asked her if she had kept track of her glucose levels to which my mom said no. when asked why she shared that She just lost her mom, whom she took care of for a month in her home. She had to have her 15 yr old companion dog down. Her dad is now in the hospital with covid and she can't see him and she just found out a lifelong friend died unexpectedly. Dr Jacob had no compassion at all. And to top it off the entered tge instruction for 2 of her blood pressure meds wrong so she was taking a double dose and ran out of the meds 2 was early. Then they wouldn't refill it because "she should have had enough". To this Dr Jacob said "you shouldn't let your BP meds run out. Oh really. Thankfully she didn't have any adverse affects from taking the wrong dose then taking none at all. We will be finding a new Dr gor my mom. And we will no longer recommend her.

Dr. Jacob has been my primary for a year now. I specifically chose her based upon my first visit as I wanted a physician interested in ME as an individual, and to look at my whole health. She is thorough and involves you in decisions. She takes time--not hurrying. Her assistant and PA are equally attentive, well mannered, professional, and CARING. You can trust your health care and well-being to her knowing that she will provide competent, individualized, effective and concerned care.

Most recent experience (though now I think about it, I've felt uncomfortable w/her for years): Dr had snippy attitude when showed results of a bunch of wellness tests done at a health fair. Meanwhile, my partner's Dr was thrilled to have patient willing to go extra mile to prevent illness. (even if it meant their office didn't have a hand in the billing of said tests) I'm going over to my partner's primary care physician. I need a doctor that is more interested in my health than my wallet.
