Dr. Praveen Keshava, MD

Dr. Keshava did my cataract surgery, and I went from being extremely nearsighted to having almost 20/20 vision in both eyes. His practice has all the latest and most advanced equipment; for example, they can measure eye pressure without touching your eye. He is skilled in many aspects of opthamology that, in other practices in which I have been a patient, required different specialists. For example, he can assess and prescribe correction for double vision. He is kind and patient and takes time to answer all questions. I would recommend him and Central Vermont Eye Care without reservation.

I had Cataract surgery in both eyes. two weeks apart. I felt I was very prepared for the procedure with the information I was given. Results have been better than I even imagined. The staff was professional, courteous, empathetic and everything ran on schedule. I would highly recommend Dr. Keshava to anyone.

Dr. Keshava and his staff are extremely well coordinated and professional. Everything was explained so clearly that there were no questions and no surprises. After I had my consultation and seeing how well his office is run, I had complete confidence going into surgery. With very poor uncorrected eyesight my entire life, at over seventy years old, this is the first time that I have excellent distance vision over a wide field of view. I must admit that the thought of having surgery on my eyes was frightening. Dr. Keshava explained the cataract surgery in detail and eased my apprehensions. The day for the first eye came and upon arriving at the South Burlington location, I was greeted by a very professional staff who quickly eased any concerned that lingered in my mind. During the actual procedure, I never had any sensation of something in my eye nor was I able to see what was transpiring. The next day when the eye patch was removed, my vision in that eye was back to what it was when I was very much younger and colors were bright again. I could hardly wait for the days to go by until the other eye was to be done. Today, was my final checkup with Dr. Keshava and I have 20/20 vision and only need “cheaters” to read. My sincere recommendation to anyone out there with cataracts is...don’t wait any longer, get them removed and see the world again.

I recommend Dr. Keshava to everyone. Cataract surgery is so simple for the patient. He explains everything well and is reassuring. The Rutland office is amazing--always friendly and effecient. I have talked with some that are afraid of cataract surgery. Having been through it, I say don't be afraid. There is not much to it on the patient's part as long as you have a driver.
