Dr. Prashant Vivek, MD

I saw Dr. Vivek this morning and was impressed with his listening skills. It’s surprising to me that many Ear Doctors are terrible listeners. Understanding a patient’s experience is vital in diagnosing a problem. Dr. Vivek got it right immediately. Excellent doctor. Good insights into my needs and excellent recommendations. I am recently in the process of seeing Dr. Vivek for a long-term chronic sinus problem. Dr. Vivek operated on my sinus about two weeks ago and now I am in the process of returning to his office for a few more visits to finish up the post-op procedures. Dr. Vivek appears to be a very competent physician and knows his stuff. He is not a chatty sort of fellow but I am not seeing him for dialogue I am seeing him for results. And so far I have been very happy with his skill and his competence.

I was very impressed with Dr. Vivek. He really listens, he explains everything thoroughly, and involves you in the decision making for your treatment. Highly recommend!

Dr. Vivek is an exceptional physician and surgeon. He was very professional and courteous during all my visits and was always willing to listen. I was very confident in his knowledge and skill therefore; I had no worry about the surgery. I am very grateful to him and his team for the wonderful care I received.

I came to the office due to a loss of smell. Dr. Vivek was awesome at explaining exactly how the nose works, what can cause decreased sense of smell. He explained rule out methods, gave good advice, and the exam was gently performed. I would recommend him to anyone.

Incorrectly billed me. Went in for inflammation in the larynx. 2 months later finally bill correctly but I am still on the hook for a 5 min. Told me nothing was wrong and sent me away. So I guess my reaction to being pushed around everywhere he decided to call me and tell me to go to speech therapy. I have GERD not a speech issue. How incompetent.

Pretty good at explaining stuff. Everytime he walks into the exam room, he looks like he just walked into a birthday party. A pleasant happy guy and good doctor.

I recently had a Parotidectomy to remove a tumor from the deep lobe of the parotid gland. Deep lobe tumors are less common and require more precision and experience to remove. Dr. Vivek assisted in the removal of my tumor and is an outstanding surgeon. Because of the critical location of the tumor and proximity of the facial nerves, he was able to remove the tumor without compromising any facial nerve function. I have minimal numbness at the site of surgery. I would highly recommend him.

He explained everything clearly and rationally, detailing the risks and benefits of various options. He made use of those anatomical charts on the wall to make sure we understood exactly what was going on. He did not push for surgery, in fact agreed with us that it was unnecessary at this point. I had a high degree of confidence in him and would certainly go back to him and recommend him to anyone.

I was referred for ear pain, dizziness and inflamed and red ear canal by my PCP. This has been 2 time a year issue for the last 2.5 years. Dr.Vivek spent all of 3 minutes with me. He did not review any information in my paper file or computerized file. He looked in my nose, mouth and ears and said they look fine. He did not address the pain in my ear or dizziness and told me to purchase nasal rinse for sinus issues. I feel it was a complete waste of my time and money & I will not see him again.
