Dr. Prasad Katta, MD

My mom starting seeing Dr. Katta at the beginning of January this year for osteoporosis treatment. She got three shots at the office in January, February and March. When she first went in January, she was told that her treatment is 100% covered and they don't have to pay anything. However, prior to her appointment in February, she got a statement asking her to pay $450 copay for her visit in January. When she went to her appointment in Feb, before she proceeded with the appointment, she asked about the statement for copay and was told numerous times don't worry about that because the office billed the wrong insurance and that her treatments are 100% covered and the office will resubmit the claim to the correct insurance. My mom proceeded to get her second shot after she was reassured they do not have to pay anything. Two month later after she had her third shot in March, she received a bill for $1350!!! $450 for each of the three visits. My parents tried to get this cleared with the of

Dr. Katta has been my doctor for 20 years. He has taken exceptional care of me and my type 1 diabetes. On every visit he went over my lab results with me, He made sure I understood everything he was discussing with me in a professional and kind way. When I first became his patent I had several diabetic complications. His knowledge of my health problems helped live as long as I have. I am moving and won't be able have Dr. Katta any more and I am going to have a difficult time finding a doctor as wonderful as him..

Dr. Katta has become one of my favorite doctors, among many due to my health issues. He is a true professional and has all the desirable qualities you would expect from an ideal health care provider- very knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate and empathetic; prompt in appointments, whether office or telehealth visit; and has a very good bedside manner. During my last consultation with him, I forgot to ask him about a health-related concern so I sent him an electronic message. When you call the office to ask a question either the staff or doctor calls you back in a timely manner -- staff is friendly and cordial.
