My father was supposed to TAVR, the day of procedure the nurse tells us they changed the surgical site of the TAVR, not the doctor! The incision was supposed to be small, 1”, over 5”(+)in the goin. They diagnosed nerve damage done to the leg from the incision before discharged. Pain management was not under control and was never discussed with my father where medication should be sent, class 1 narcotics sent to out of town mail order over weekend. Within 48 hours of discharge father suffered stroke, heart doctors say it is separate because they weren’t able to complete procedure. The stroke is apparently is minor with feeling loss in hand. Beware of hospital ?? and doctor, also speciality nurse on 3, informed us in recovery of TAVR after the fact that DNR’s are not effect because of billing and TAVR requirements. WE WERE NOT INFORMED!!!!

My mom wanted no one but this doctor, and he lacked all the compassion you could want for someone caring for you. Since she began seeing him in 2015, my mother’s health did nothing but decline. 2 months ago, she was hospitalized for 20 days at a hospital at which he had rights, and he never cared enough to come see her more than a couple of time. My brother and I chose to go a different route, but after being hospitalized again a week ago, mom verbally asked for this man. He never came once to see her after she was admitted. Shame on you. You’re in the wrong profession if you want to keep lacking the compassion to care for a patient who, for reasons unknown to our family, liked you. May my mother Rest In Peace. I am glad our family won’t have to deal with you again.

This Doctor and staff are to slow to respond to test results and medical questions. Weeks with no response are not acceptable. At the encouragement of other medical staff within St Francis. I've decided to change Cardiologist.

Doctor Fazel was my cardiologist at St Francis. He was supposed to perform a heart cath on me, but an intern did it without my knowledge or being asked. The intern did something wrong, and doctor Fazel came running over asking “What did you do?...What did you do?...Are you out?”. To which the intern replied “Yes, I am out!”. After the procedure while in recovery, I experienced two episodes of sharp stabbing pains in my chest. When I asked doctor Fazel about it, he denied that anything had gone wrong. I went on to have a bypass and have been in the hospital 9 times since with complications. I can’t help but think they messed something up in there, and it keeps me from recovering. I would avoid him if you can. He was chosen for me by the hospital, and I didn’t know any better!

I was very impressed with Dr. Fazel. On my first visit, he had already reviewed my medical records and was able to speak about them without interrogating me for my history.

Dr Fazel was wonderful, took me seriously, asked me questions related to my families background and understood my concerns. He put my mind at ease and explained the future tests to be run. It was so nice to see a doctor who didn't treat me as if I was an over reacting woman. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
