Cold, unfriendly and rude
I don’t understand how this provider has a full-time practice. She was cold, unfriendly and rude, not only to us, but also to our child. I would not take my child back there if she were the last provider in Kansas City.

Very kind and professional
My psychiatrist has retired and Dr. Khanna was recommended. I was a little nervous before my first visit with Dr. Khanna after reading some of the reviews. But I was so pleasantly surprised! She is kind, attentive, professional, and respectful. I have seen her twice now and have absolutely no negative comments to make. She has kept me on the same medication I was on before because it is working and she sees no need to change it. She has told me to call her with any issues or problems I may have with the medication or worsening of my symptoms. I was not kept waiting for my appointments, did not feel hurried, and the gal working at the front desk was very friendly. I very much recommend Dr. Khanna!

Not Caring - Money Drives Care
Initially Dr. Khanna was caring. I was concerned that after the first visit she didn't seem to address what my daughter was concerned about and immediately put her on medication. She suggested therpay in conjunction with these medications in order to see success. When asked if we should continue the regular visits with her while waiting the 6 months to get into therapy as the visits with her didn't have a purpose other than keeping her on the medication we were quickly dismissed from care. Not only were we dismissed, but she had her office employee take care of that. Extremely unprofressional, totally showed her true colors that she is in it for the money and complete lack of care for the mental health of her patients is how I would describe her. Save yourself the pain and heartache and find a psychiatrist who puts her patients above her pocketbook.

Transactional at best
After waiting 6 months to see Dr. Khanna, she quickly diagnosed and medicated our daughter who had been struggling and declining in her mental health for a while. Our interactions were transactional at best. Soon after, my daughter’s behaviors and tendencies worsened tremendously. We called for help, and were told she was out of town, didn’t make phone calls, and that the assistant would see what she could do. While the assistant did follow up, we had already made arrangements to get better, more involved treatment at a clinic out of state. Upon learning about that visit and their recommendation, but before reviewing any of the medical records from the trip, Dr. Khanna essentially told us that she wouldn’t treat Daphne again. If you’re looking for a collaborative and caring doctor to partner with you and your child for your mental health concerns, please look elsewhere and save yourself the additional pain, disrespect and trauma caused by our time here.

Worst experience ever with a doctor! Walked in to be told by receptionist that doc running late because she is in line at Starbucks. Then she charged me $260 for 25 minute appointment. When doc arrived she stated that a 50 minute appointment was needed. I said no & explained that I did not appreciate the Starbucks delay or overcharging. The doc told me she would not tolerate MY attitude. When I called my husband, doctor left my son in office and came out to argue again. We left after refund.
