Dr. Patel didn't listen to me or want to work with me to tailor to my needs and understanding of my own body. I saw her in 2020, when we spoke about drinking and I said I averaged about 14 drinks a week she insisted I should have only about 12- is that really the hill you want to die on? It was not a thoughtful criticism. I also have suffered from awful cysts, infections, and acne-seeming things in my groin area since I started puberty that has never been identified and has previously sent me to the emergency room. Dr. Patel agreed to take a look at them with her boss, then brought a third person into the room to look at it. They pointed out my stretch marks and focused in on my weight while I was in stirrups and naked in front of them, saying I should loose weight and this problem would go away. I was so upset and embarrassed I did not return when this super acne started happening on my face later that year. I did not receive treatment until I went back to my old doctor in 2021.
