I met Dr. James in 2022, prior to seeing Dr. James I had previously undergone two spinal surgeries. Dr. James met with me and told me he could fix me. He performed 4 additional spinal fusions on me. Since then I have zero pain and full mobility and flexibility! Dr. James gave me my life back!

I cannot recommend Dr. James highly enough! His tremendous knowledge and expertise were evident from my very first consultation. My mom and I met with Dr. James for a second opinion regarding my mother's troublesome back issues. I found him during a search for top spinal surgeons in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Dr. James was very kind, empathetic, and detailed during my mom's exam. He took the time to explain her condition and the best approach to resolving it with a recommended procedure. His bedside manner is top-tier, and I would highly recommend him.

Dr. James is thorough and comprehensive. He listens to me and is not overly aggressive in his remedies. His bedside manner is untouchable. I went to him based on the recommendation of 3 people and they were so right.

He is obviously very knowledgeable and asks a lot of questions. He moved my body a lot to determine the extent of the issue and gave me a path to treat the issue. He explained the MRI clearly. His non-opiate script provided relief almost immediatedly.

For the past 5 weeks, I was being referred to one specialist after another. Finally, I ended up in the ER presenting stroke like symptoms. I was diagnosed with Cervical and Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. My experience at Piedmont ER was nothing short of a nightmare. So, I was skeptical before my visit with Dr. Plas. I seldom find myself short of words. As all others have noted, he goes out of his way to listen to your concerns, provide assurance, rely only on Diagnostic tests that are necessary rather than telling you what to do. His staff, went out of the way, to charge me in-network fee when in fact the visit was out of network costing 4X as much. Why should you take my word? I used to be a Healthcare BDO at the second largest financial institution. I know more than 200 doctors both personally and professionally, and trust me, they are all aware of who I am. Despite the fact, some of those doctors have been friends of mine, I have never seen any doctor with the intent to help as Dr. Plas.

Dr. James and his staff are excellent! Knowledgeable and thorough! I am grateful, not only for their initial assessment of my problem, but for the follow through moving forward. I know I’m in the best hands!

Dr Plas was very thorough in my exam trying to get to the root cause of my back pain and problems. I didn’t feel like it was rushed and he was more than willing to listen and let me ask as many questions that I might have. Staff and front office especially are very friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend Dr Plas to any other patients looking for a great spine Dr!!

Dr James is extremely knowledgeable and quite brilliant but he is always able to impart information to me in a way that I can easily grasp it. He is upbeat and has a positive attitude that puts one at ease. However, he never lands on any definite assessment without having as much diagnostic data as possible before doing so. I have complete confidence in him.

Good healthcare is hard to find. Finding a trustworthy medical professional who leaves with that feel good feeling even when the news is not great is priceless. I traveled more than 600 miles to see Dr. James. There are some good surgeons in my area but none made me feel comfortable about my next steps or take my case as seriously as Dr. James. With the first visit, we had a plan, tests scheduled with other practitioners. He and his staff have made me feel comfortable and welcome. My questions are answered and concerns addressed. Yes, I would recommend Dr. James!

Dr. James makes you feel like family from the moment you meet him. Very much recommend. He makes sure that your goals for healing are considered. He actually wants you to return to activities such as weightlifting, where as most Dr.s in that would would discourage it. DR. JAMES IS THE BEST.
