Misarable
He arbitrarily judged my mom had no good response to chemo and would not have any meaningful treatment with no solid evidence and strongly suggested hospice… However, later on the scan showed mom actually had good response to chemo … I just realized he was not only an oncologist but also a doctor from palliative/hospice department …

I'll never forget how Dr. Srivastava told me that they were going to remove 4-5 lymph nodes as well as my right breast out of an "abundance of caution". Caution for who? The cancer in the lymph node was marked with a titanium marker by the radiologist that discovered it (a very painful process by the way). But instead of removing the cancerous lymph node, the surgeon removed 4 healthy lymph nodes and left the cancerous one behind. It's outrageous that there was no plan to actually remove the cancer, just a shot in the dark plan to remove body parts. What kind of abundance of caution is that? The kind that worsened my condition and disabled me for life. After the surgery Dr. Srivastava ghosted me for 6 weeks before telling me, the day before Christmas, that I had to have more surgery because they knew they missed the cancer after determining all of the lymph nodes they removed were healthy and cancer free. Way to go doc.

Pathetic. Our only meeting with him was wholly unsatisfactory. He began by asking us questions about blood tests, that should have been readily available in the records on the screen in front of him. He covered nothing we didn't already know. Regarding the pathology report, he said he didn't have them. (It had been 24-days since the biopsy was done; neither my son, his wife, his father or I were ever told the findings.) The meeting was brief, gave no business and left the room briskly,

Dr. Srivastava has cared for both my mom and myself as we both have fought cancer. He is knowledgeable and genuinely a kind person who goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable and informed while in his care. I appreciate his quick responses (he is great with email!) to any of my questions or concerns, and I appreciate his knowledge of the latest and greatest treatments out there to help me with my battle. His positive, 'can do' attitude is another attribute I admire.
