I just wanted warn about Dr. Hernandez and his treatment. He prescribed me Ativan, a benzodiazepine, for long term use, TWICE daily. This is very dangerous, and I was told by my primary care provider and PMH-NP provider that this is very, very dangerous and that nobody should be prescribed a benzodiazepine for more than 2 months for daily use. Again, I was prescribed for twice daily use over several months. I understand working with students can be frustrating, but this is unacceptable to put patients safety at risk like this. I called the Boston University Student Health Services but they did not take any action other than referring me to another provider. Again, this is really dangerous, and talking to any other provider, they were very concerned and shocked. I would be very cautious about the medications he prescribes. He was able to help me somewhat but please consult second opinions and be careful.
