Ignored stroke medication renewal request
After one short visit despite my complex heart and stroke history Dr. Duncan decided that I did not need the stroke preventive medication that I had been taking for 7 years . He considered it only as protocol following open heart surgery . He did not consider my high risk for stroke , if in that one visit he was even aware of it. Just ignored medication requests.

My 86 yr old mother says he's takes time to listen
My mother has heart issues each time my mother and has been visiting Dr. Duncan off and on for over 5 years. Mom like how Dr. Duncan asks questions and takes the time let her ask questions too. "He really listens to me," is what she says when we leave his office. I'm impressed because she's quick to share her opinion regarding doctors and usually they're not favorable. She loves her visits.

Dr. Duncan was my Cardiologist for several years, until I retired from teaching and moved back to Charlottesville from Richmond in 2016. In 2006 I had open heart surgery at Chippenham Hospital and had my diseased mitral heart valve replaced. I had many very good cardiologists caring for me at Chippenham and JohnsonWillis Hospitals. I have a very, very good Cardiologist in Charlottesville. Dr. Duncan, in my opinion, is the most conscientious, caring physician I have ever known. He is simply the best in all areas of health care! Go see him with your heart health concerns, and you will be so glad you did. Susan Titus
