Wonderful doctor and great staff; he is very knowledgeable about any spine problem. I had a very successful surgery with him and wish I had found him earlier. He has saved my quality of life more than once.

Dr. Dickey is the most wonderful doctor. He operated on my mom's brain tumor and years later when we needed him again for my moms back he was there for us! I would never go to anyone else in Connecticut he's kind, smart and most of all competent.

I was treated by Dr. Dickey almost ten years ago and was impressed by his skill and compassion, and that he treated me with extraordinary respect. He did not dictate what the course of treatment would be - he allowed me to participate fully in the decision making - and I was able to avoid surgery and have had no recurrence. His staff was warm and helpful: unlike other with other neurosurgeons, it was never a hassle to get a reply or get an appointment in a timely manner. A gifted caregiver!

I was referred to Dr. Dickey by my primary care physician in 1991 for a work-related injury that resulted in two herniated discs. I was under Dr. Dickey's care for several years on an intermittent basis and most recently had to return for two examinations of my lower back. I have always found him to be professional, caring and an all-around great guy. His secretary and office staff are courteous, friendly and always make a patient feel welcome coming in......truly a first-class experience!

Dr. Dickey will be correcting another doctors ignorance and disrespect. Dr. Dickey, in under 10 seconds of looking at my MRI, identified my condition and stated, with a quiet confidence, that he will fix me. I have been suffering with severe neck and arm pain for almost 3 months. The original doctor, who operated on me in May to remove a screw he installed in 2012 that came loose laughed at me when I told him I was still in pain. I am fully convinced Dr. Dickey will restore my quality of life.

Walked into hospital, bent over with a walker, in severe pain. Dr. Dickey performed a laminectomy. Walked out the next day, standing erect, no walker, and no pain. Dr. Dickey is superb. Yale New Haven Hospital is great. Robert Squire, Meriden, CT 1/16
