Solid shoulder surgery repaired of old injury.
Dr. Bennion performed a repair of a 50% tear of the rotator cuff. I could not be happier with the results and recovery I am back to exercising 7 months out from the surgery. He came recommended from a well respected PT doctor.

Unprepared for Consult
Returned after initial consult to review MRI imaging he recommended. Dr. Bennion appeared to have not been fully briefed, or simply hadn't spent time reviewing the MRI. This was evident/obvious in a specific question I had regarding one of the findings; he had to leave and grab the laptop with the report and read it...! Moreover, he had no specific recommendations for treatment of my torn meniscus coupled with the other issues revealed in the MRI (none of which he even reviewed with me). He simply came across as rather ill-informed on my condition, and he actually asked me what they could do?!? I expect a hell of a lot more from healthcare professionals, and Dr. Bennion was simply not prepared for my visit. More frustrating was that he seemed to not give a rip about my particular circumstances. Rather disappointed, thus I simply cannot recommend Dr. Bennion and I am left searching for a more professional Ortho.

Dr Bennion is a phenomenal physician. He’s genuine, informative and always communicates honestly about my shoulder issues. He takes a conservative approach rather than surgery as only option. Following PT he reviewed my video via PT to ascertain my progress! How many Drs do that? I recommend him!

Dr. Bennion has performed 2 reverse shoulder surgeries on me. The first surgery and recovery went very well. The second had all kinds of complicaitons the cause of which I am not sure was doctor and what was hospital. The follow up has been the worst possible office experience. He passes you off to his PA and you don't get to consult with him again. When trying to schedule a follow up, you can't get through to a human being in less than 20 to 30minutes. Being frustrated, I finally transferred to a voicemail that is continually full. You leave a message since there is nobody to talk to and phone calls are not returned. I will not return to this practice.

I initially saw Dr. Bennion for a shoulder impingement. He recommended conservative treatment with physical therapy and a steroid injection to the joint. P.T. helped some but unfortunately not enough. Dr. Bennion operated on my shoulder arthroscopically 6 weeks ago. I have had an uneventful recovery and feel that he is a very competent surgeon, and has a good bedside manner. I would definitely refer my family and friends to him!

The worst possible office experience possible You can't get through to a human being in less than 15 minutes and then you get transferred to a voicemail that is full There is no practice manager if you do have a problem don't bother calling. There is nobody to talk to As far as surgery scheduling another abomination . It's supposed to be tomorrow morning and it's 2:30 in the afternoon. After many empty promises of follow up return phone call I have not heard if I'm actually having surgery

Dr. Bennion is THE BEST ortho doctor I have ever been to see! Believe me, I have had roughly 10 ortho surgeries the last two by Dr. Bennion. Sadly, i believe I'm about to have another. He operated on my Cousin Lori last Tues. Her should was very bad and I am happy to report she is doing very good so far. Dr. Bennion and PA Melissa are a wonderful team who work well to make your experience as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Bennion for your ortho needs. Kathy Gilbertson
