I wish there was a category of "superior" to use when describing the care I have consistently received from Dr. Spanheimer. I have recommended him to several friends needing surgeries. All have been very pleased with his skill, service, and compassionate approach to them and their medical problems.

Dr. [Spanheimer] was very calm with my consultation. He answered all of my questions and asked me if I had more. He made sure I understood what we were discussing, as he knew I was "a mess". I felt 100% better after my visit with him. Cancer/melanoma is a very scary thing and he put my concerns/stress aside for me.

The appointment was set up to be one that allowed me to become acquainted with an MD who will take the place of my very fine MD, who will be retiring in a few months. I felt very comfortable with the new doctor, and also sad to lose such an exceptional fine doctor who will be retiring In a few months.
