He is the rudest person you will ever have the displeasure of meeting. It’s like talking to a bag of bricks. He will rush you out of his office. While lacking empathy and other important life skills he has to be the most disrespectful low down piece of work I’ve ever met. If you want to be in pain the rest of your life this babbling idiot is the one for you.

Dr Hodge performed brain surgery on my father removing a brain tumor. When meeting with him after surgery, he spoke and listened to questions from my mom, myself, brother, sister and aunt. He answered our questions fully and in a manner we could understand. He even found us a few moments later to tell us that he had woken up enough to talk and that his speech was unaffected. When transferred to ICU, he came to talk to my mom again answering questions. Very Thankful for him!!

I had chiarhi reduction in September of this year. I have been very pleased with Dr. Hodge and the sugery was a success as far as I am concerned. I was having a lot ringing in my ears and other noises and this has almost completely stopped. I appreciate what he has done for me and am progressing more each day in my recovery. It has been three months since the surgery and I am still very happy.

On May 30, 2018 Dr Hodge operated on my back. I was in the hospital for 2 days. Dr Hodge came in to see me every morning. He was always cheerful, asking me how I felt. He told me prior to the surgery that there was a good chance my leg pain would be reduced as well as my back pain. When I woke up from surgery, that’s the first thing I noticed. My knee pain was completely gone! Dr Hodge made a huge improvement in my daily living. I would definitely see him again.

Anybody can be an "MD" but it takes a true person with compassion and good bedside manner, to be a great "MD". Unfortunately you Dr. Hodge, fail miserably! You made my Mom feel like she wasn't even a person, just a number! This is how you treat the elderly?! You push and pulled on her so rough, that she has been in pain for days! You didn't even look her in the eye and basically talked to the wall. You should be ashamed of yourself! People like you should have their "MD" taken away...

Dr Hodge did 2 different back surgeries on my mom. The first, 7 years ago, went well. The 2nd, in 2016, has ruined her life. He hit a nerve, cut into the spinal area and never said a word. He told me “everything went well” and left. While she was in recovery, she could tell something wasn’t good- it was brushed off. She could not feel her left leg. She now has permant nerve damage and paralysis in her left leg. We never saw him again- he sent his assistant when mom was in rehab.

Dr. Phillip Hodge is an amazing surgeon. I broke my back at 19 years old, and he put me back together. There was a very high possibility that I would be paralyzed, and it didn't happen because of him and God. He is very thorough when explaining everything that will be done during surgery. He actually explains everything to where a normal person can understand. He doesn't make you feel stupid because you don't. He wants you to understand everything that will be happening. He is real!

Dr. Hodge saved my husband's life. Several years ago, my husband had an infection that managed to get to his brain. He needed emergency surgery & Dr Hodge rearranged his surgery schedule to operate immediately. The upstate area is very lucky to have Dr. Hodge practicing in our area.

I had a herniated disc in my lower back and was referred to Dr. Hodge for a microdiscectomy. Since I had been in pain for weeks, Dr. Hodge made a special arrangement to see me quickly and rearranged his schedule in order to complete my surgery as quickly as possible. He was very empathetic to my situation and went out of his way to see that I got relief as soon as possible. I could not have asked for better service. He was also easy to talk with and fully answered all my questions.
