I fell 45-50ft off a cliff, and landed on my head, on 4/12/81. Dr. Gutin put my skull back together after finding and putting the grants back together. Debriding, I think they call it. I was comatose for 12 days and was still partially unconscious or 14 more day. Except for some right-hand spasticity, and VERY MINOR nocturnal seizures every YEAR or SO 31 years after the injury, I live a rather normal life. I DID begIn using anti-seizure medication 31 years after the surgery, but Dr. Gutin SAVED MY LIFE. I've reviewed his research and his MANY published.artícles. Dr. Gutin is a true devoted expert.

Dr Gutin is truly the best of the best! He has done 2 crainiotomies for me. Each time I am calmed and reassured by his personable nature and confidence. He is approachable and kind, with a wicked sense of humor! Couldn't ask for better! He shows me my scans every time and thoroughly explains what needs to be done and why. His assistant, Petal, is also outstanding and very calming with her positive approach. They treat the whole patient.

Doctor Gutin is personable and confident. We opted for an approach that had a good chance of preserving my hearing. But my surgery left me deaf in one ear, facial nerve paralysis on one side, and unable to blink my eye. He visited the morning after surgery and informed me he was leaving the country for a few days. I had severe headaches for the next 4 days. My hospital stay was much longer than expected because of the pain. He forgot my 1 wk followup. Not recommended.
