Dr. Philip Citek, MD

1 st visit to doctor Citek left office crying. He is rude , condescending and could care less about you or your pain. But the straw that broke the camels back was when I showed up for my monthly appt. Was told I don’t have an appt. Staff rude said “ we’ll try to fit you in get outside “ Showed them appt. card said “ don’t know why you have attitude with me” your screw up “ Yelled at me”Get outside and shut the damn door!” I work in a prison if we treated the inmates like this we would be fired. Insurance Companies should have secret shoppers so they know how their patients are being treated, after all we pay Big money for that insurance. It’s not free. Are we not entitled to be treated with a certain amount amount of dignity and respect.

I have chronic neck pain even though I have had 2 neck surgeries that didn't help the pain much, I also have a compression fracture in my back. Dr Citek has helped me to manage my pain. He isn't a Dr to go to if you are just looking for pain medications, and if you are on pain medications he prescribes for you he monitors carefully. I have heard him get mad at patients if they don't follow his directions and run out to quickly. I follow his directions so we get along just fine. He is always happy to help if I ask for injections to help curb my pain. I also think his staff are great especially Belinda. Dr Citek isn't much of a talker but is very knowledgeable, if you ask questions he will answer them.

He was horrible and Rude!! Yelled at me said he hated Work Comp patients. Talked Over me. Screaming at the desk said he was leaving!! Worst day ever!! I was so mortified!! Over 5 years with this Dr!! I'm so embarrassed, his staff was rude today as well hen making a follow-up

It was horrendous. I was told that my regular PMS was unavailable & that my trigger injections would be done by Dr. Citek. The dr.'s physical appearance was unkept & his attitude was abrupt & disinterested. He never introduced himself & was so gruff & unfriendly that the nurse in attendance apologized for him as soon as he left the room. She even asked if I was "..sure I wanted to see him" for the trigger injections I was scheduled for. I said "yes" because I was in considerable pain. He performed the procedure haphazardly & he seemed very annoyed with me. He never explained what he was doing...& this caused me great concern. I had never seen or heard anything regarding this dr. & his behavior was concerning. I will definitely discuss this incident with my regular PMS physician. The experience brought to light one of the vulnerabilities of chronic pain sufferers: we go to our drs. with a compelling need & it amplifies our suffering when a dr. behaves in this way. Never again!
