Dr. Chang is one of a kind. He made me feel very comfortable and confident. I was able to communicate with him about my condition, which he discussed and shared steps to assist me in getting through my recovery. Absolutely knowledgeable, I am thankful and grateful to him.

In writing my review of Dr. Chang, I would like to state simply that he transformed my life and he is the best doctor I have known for myriad reasons handsdown. He is an extremely skilled and experienced burn surgeon, and he also has the quality of being kind, comforting and making his patients feel valued. Ofcourse I can't mention Dr. Chang without mentioning his team, especially Bobby, who has communicated with me prior and after every surgery and is a compassionate, humorous, and dedicated employee of Dr Chang's, who has truly helped me feel at ease and supported each step of the way, I truly love her and Dr. Chang! I have been Dr. Chang's patient for about three years now, and he completed several rounds of C02 laser surgery on several burn scars I have over my arms and torso, and as a result they have dramatically reduced in size, thickness, appearance, and discomfort. I am able to enjoy my summers now, and my confidence as a result of these surgeries has contributed to helping me

Dr. Chang is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He's caring, patient, and really understands the needs of his patients. The way he interacts with children under his care is also remarkable. My 9-year-old daughter was admitted to the Burn Center ICU at NYP last summer and he's the only doctor who came into our room, pulled up a chair and sat in a circle with our entire family to answer all of our questions and address our concerns. I've never seen a doctor do that. He didn't rush us and was carefully listening to everything we had to say, particularly our daughter. He continues to do this at every follow-up appointment we have with him.

My time with Dr. Chang was short, but in our brief appt he communicated his thoughts and a summary of a proposed plan of action clearly, comprehensively and with care. It was re-assuring. I am hopeful that he can help me.

How Blessed I am to have been handed over to Dr. Chang and the Burn Unit.... Due to an infection the whole side of my lower Leg was removed and I was in horrible pain. Dr. Chang using his wealth of experience and surgical skills came up with a plan to use a skin graft to replace the missing side of my Leg. It's now over a year since that complicated procedure and the 'patched' part of my Leg has healed fantastically, as has the site on my thigh from which the grafted skin was removed. So now once again I am turning to Dr. Chang in hope that he can use his skills and my skin to repair other wounds on my Legs. Dr. Chang has already saved my Leg from 'removal'....now he is working to make my Legs less painful and in turn improve my mobility. Believe it or not he makes it kinda Fun too.... these procedures are painful....'a spoon full of sugar definitely helps the medicine go down'. His bedside manner is second to none. I consider myself so Fortunate that he has accepted me as his patient
