I’ve been a pt of Dr Wong for at least 20 years, maybe more . He is always very pleasant, kind, sincere, professional… I could go on and on. He’s also very caring. It’s amazing that he takes the time to call his patients after a procedure to check on them. Amazing. He is truly the Best!!!!Thank you Dr Wong

Dr. Wong has been my Gastroenterologist since 2005. During these 20 years, he performed my two endoscopies and three colonoscopies. I never experienced any abdominal pain, cramping, irritation or vomiting after the procedure. He is caring, detailed and thorough, ensuring that I receive the optimal medical treatment. I thank him for taking care of his patients so delicately, feeling cherished in my city to have such a wonderful doctor combination of responsibility and care.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Wong for several years. My youngest adult son has also started seeing him. Dr. Wong is very respectful and professional however is always friendly and takes his time during visits. He has called me nights and on weekends checking on me after procedures and to discuss blood work results. I highly recommend him.

My first appointment with Dr. Wong, for a colonoscopy, was 20 years ago. I was impressed with his attention to detail and caring attitude before, during and after my procedure. The staff has the same work ethic. I recently had two procedures at his clinic. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in town for this level of medical care.

Outstanding. I have been with Dr. Wong for over 10 years. He is amazing. Always ready to help and keeps a very competent staff to help his practice. I'll not go into the procures I have had with him outside of saying he is the best around.

I have been Dr Wong's patient for quite a few years and have always been impressed. Recently, though, I required emergency surgery. Not only did Dr Wong treat me for the GI aspects of the emergency, but he took charge of the entire situation. He worked many hours above and beyond that needed for my GI issues making sure that the hospitalists and surgeons did their jobs, coordinated with each other, ordered the proper tests and so forth. Without his determination, skill, and willingness to intervene I am positive my surgical and recovery outcomes would have been far worse. I recommend Dr Peter Wong in the strongest possible terms.

Dr. Wong is intelligent, thorough, and caring! I had a routine colonoscopy with Dr Wong. He discovered an unusual problem while performing the procedure. Further examination abd correction probably saved my life. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. He is very thorough and professional!

Been seeing Dr. Wong for a while now. He is very thorough, very conservative, takes time to explain. He has too many patients & runs behind a lot. Very difficult to schedule appointments. He'll want to see you in 6 weeks, but nothing available for 3 mths. Office won't schedule more than 3 mths out. Office communication is spotty at best. Usually 10+ in que. Messages maybe returned 2+ days out.

Dr. Wong is an exceptional physician and his bedside manner demonstrates that your well-being is his top priority. He wants to investigate issues of concern but will start with a conservative approach that helps save your time or resources. He is quick to respond when you have questions or concerns, and he’s the only doctor that has ever called me at 9:30 PM (on a Friday night!) just to follow up on my progress. He is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and communicative, and he makes unpleasant medical issues and procedures less difficult. His high standards for quality of care extend to his nursing staff as well. I encourage my friends and family to use him for their gastroenterology needs.

I would greatly recommend Dr. Wong as he is an Outstanding doctor. Great personality, interested in you and talks great to you. He knows what he is doing and does a great job. He calls and checks on you after a surgery and is very friendly. Explains everything greatly. A GREAT OUTTANDING DOCTOR WHO CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS AT ALLL TIMES.!!!!

Only doctor to spot my fatty liver and persistently tracked my progress though other doctors said not to worry about it when I told them I had it. Recent scan showed highest level of fat on my liver. Dr. Wong is searching for answer to why I have it when I do not match the typical profile for having it. So glad he is my specialist.

My visit to Mary Washington Hospital (MWH) was outstanding. The Hospital is very organized, extremely methodical in their procedures and processes, professional, polite, and very proficient at their jobs(s). Doctor Peter Wong and his staff are fabulous; my procedure went very well. I recommend Doctor Wong and MWH with the highest enthusiasm.

I have a patient of Dr. Wong’s since he came to Fredericksburg. He has always provided me with clear explanations of my health, what he can do for me, and what I can do for myself. I have recommended him to family and friends. He has seen me through various health situations. I have complete confidence Dr. Wong.

Dr. Wong and the office staff were pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and provided information from beginning to end. I would highly recommend Dr. Wong to be your gastroenterologist. He makes you feel comfortable during the time that you are in the office.

Dr. Wong has a terrible bedside manner with no follow-up. Didn't take a family history (children with Celiac), didn't even care about any symptoms. The patient was bedridden and in level 10 pain for months and he never followed up on any phone calls for help. He gave an initial diagnosis of IBS, however, did not provide any guidance on what to do. The medicine he prescribed was actually harmful to the given diagnosis. He put the patient through a nightmare of prep for a procedure and didn't complete the in-hospital procedure with proper biopsies for Celiac. After a month of waiting, the blood test said Celiacs. With a diagnosis of such a serious life-altering disease, he provided no follow up on how to treat and didn't provide any guidance at all on what to do for nutrition to treat it. He should be incredibly ashamed of the way he treated my mother. He needs to further educate himself on the diagnosis treatments for IBS/Celiacs and provide that information to his patients.

I am very pleased to give Dr. Wong a excellent recommendation. He was a five star in handling my case. Also the whole practice is a very well organized business practice. I appreciate the skills and attention shown in my personal situation and highly recommend Dr. Wong.

In all of my 89 years, I have never had a more physician as thorough, caring and easy to communicate when discussing my circumstances. I tell many people, everyone should have a Dr. Wong in their life!

Dr. Peter Wong did my first colonoscopy over 20 years ago. He is the most professional doctor. He is gentle, kind, friendly, and very professional. He still has the same great smile, friendly greeting, and concern that he had the first time I came into his office. He never hurries or makes you feel that you are not the most important patient he will see that day. I love him!!!
