Horrible
I had to have knee surgery for the 7th time because my knee continued to constantly pop out of place in all directions. After several visits and hesitation we decided to do the surgery. When I woke up from anesthesia I had a brace that went from my hip all the way to my ankle. I go in to the the 40 something staples removed and to my horror, he cut a half moon shape around my knee and all the way down to about 5 inches from my ankle. He tells me that he drilled holes all the way up to the top of my Tibia and that he placed a screw in the top of my Tibia so hopefully have scar tissue grow to help my knee from popping out, well that didn’t work out. Within 7 months my body had started to reject the screw and you could see the head of the screw. Well he decides that of course it needed to come out before it broke through the skin. We scheduled the appointment which I thought he would put me to sleep not the case he gave me 2 painkillers and numbed the area and I passed out on the table

I broke my leg in four places, he did not recognize the break under my knee and after 8 months of treatment, it was worse. I went to a different doctor to see why I was not healing and he found the break, but it was too late to properly repair it. Dr. Szymoniak did not admit to missing this. He also did not try to repair my broken ankle along with that and I was not able to repair that either. I have used this doctor three different times, and have not been happy with any of his services.

Absolutely terrible. Total knee replacement eight weeks ago and still unable to bend. He’s blamed me for not trying to work on it. I go to pt 3 times a week and work diligently at home. He performed a manipulation on it to get it to bend. It still only partially bends. Constant pain. Now he’s claiming I have a pinched nerve in my back that is the cause. I’ve never had back problems. He took pictures of me while I was under anesthesia of how he bent my leg during anesthesia procedure. creepy

Dr. Szymoniak did an ACL repair (autograft) on my knee January 6, 1994. He did an amazing job! I've had surgery in two other states on this same knee for issues unrelated to the ACL repair. Both other surgeons complemented his work. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Syzmoniak to anyone I know in the Pensacola area.

I have been a patient of Dr. Szymoniak for well over 20 years. It is my personal experience that in this field of expertise, experience counts. He has treated myself, my wife and our oldest son. His dedication to his patients is beyond ratings. He has performed numerous surgeries through the years on my wife and I as time has taken its toll. He is totally committed to the health and well being of his patients. He listens to what you have to say and at my age, that is important.

I really like Dr. Monika he takes time to explain what he is going to do and the out come. We had a few things in command, Which helped out but he did tell my wife that's one stubborn man you have. Which is very true.
