Good work but terrible bedside manner
While I believe Dr. Pema is a great doctor technique wise, his bed side manner leaves much to be desired. When my grandfather suffered a brain bleed post brain surgery Dr. Pema came in to discuss the angiogram he was about to preform. Our entire family sat in a dark waiting room scared and worried and he came in and was cold and quick. He made comments alluding to being aggravated that he was going to have to work on my grandfather after a being busy “all day long”. He also made cryptic comments basically insinuating the previous surgeon had messed up and that is why he was now going to have to work on my grandfather (which he upon returning was corrected that that was not the case) He callously gave my grandmother the consent papers to sign and said we should stay in the room because it would be easier for him. Overall while I believe he did great work and everything he could for my grandfather his bedside manner truly added trauma to an already traumatic situation.

Excellent Surgeon
Dr. Pema saved my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. He made me and my family comfortable and knowledgeable about my brain aneurysm and quickly set up a treatment plan that included a stent placement. He was absolutely phenomenal in every way and I would trust him with my life any day. Very honest, very straightforward. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work.

Very matter-of-fact beside manner and also very competent. My 18 yr old daughter received an angiogram to remove blood clots from her head. The results were phenomenal.

He is a straight shooter, will talk to you and tell you the truth.. He is very good about talking to you and making sure you understand what is going on... I trust him with my life any day.. But I know he is a busy man...

Dr. pema did my aneurysm surgery I could not of asked for a better doctor for a better human being he genuinely cares about his patients and staff was great
