Dr. Peter Mowschenson, MB

Dr. Mowschenson is a no nonsense, efficient but caring doctor. He makes himself available to his patients without the usual hassles, and is highly experienced in his field. I was able to meet him via telehealth services and I was able to schedule my parathyriodectomy much more quickly than elsewhere. Surgery was a breeze. I would absolutely recommend him.

Dr. Mowschenson was absolutely phenomenal from his first call to me (yes he calls directly!) to his follow up after surgery. His entire staff was pleasant to deal with and certainly take their lead from Dr M!

This was my first telehealth experience. I had my parathyroidectomy 2 weeks ago and have been very pleased with the result. He customized my care from speaking with my endocrinologist to gather more information about my workup, to the timing of my surgery, and follow up calls after the surgery. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Mowschenson. When I called his office after being referred to him for parathyroid surgery, he returned my call promptly. He immediately evidenced calm competence, was very friendly, reassuring, informative and responsive, Hi s website gives a thorough over its of hyperparathyroidism and what the surgery involves. I cannot say enough, how good an experience I have had with Dr. Mowschenson and his entire staff, from my first visit that was a consult/workup to my surgery . It has been 10 days since I had thyroid surgery. Dr. Mowschenson and his staff did a wonderful job. Easy communication all my questions through calls,texts or emails were answered on short time. The surgery day all staff was very professionally everything went smoothly all things explained. After the surgery pain was minimal my recovery was good. Dr. Mowschenson is a caring and thoughtful doctor from the first meeting to the surgery and afterwards!! He calmed my worries and answered all my questions regarding my thyroid surgery. Dr. M was recommended above all other surgeons by my endocrinologist when I had decided a partial thyroidectomy was my preferred treatment route. He shared that Dr. M was next level experienced and smart that if anything were to go wrong, he could think on his feet for the best outcome. His office is efficient, scheduling was easy, & he was patient with all my questions. His whole approach was patient centered (not seen much these days), & his website was so informative. He is reachable directly via all modern communication methods, unlike most drs where you go through layers of people & phone queues to reach someone who may or may not be helpful. He is personable, professional, an excellent communicator, reassuring & most importantly, an outstanding surgeon. The outpatient operation went smoothly and as expected. It's clear that the pre-op and post-op nurses adore him (always a good sign!). The results were as expected for me, and the scar is barely noticeable one year out. Amazing!!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Mowschenson! He conducted a full thyroidectomy for me. Throughout the process, he was responsive and reassuring (which helped ease my concerns significantly leading up to the surgery). The surgery/post surgery was exactly as he had described on his website, and the scar is already minimal (4 weeks post surgery). Andrea (Dr. Mowschenson’s administrative assistant) was also super helpful and lovely to work with! Highly recommend all around!

Dr Mowschenson operated on me for hyperparathyroidism 10 months ago. He is personable, very thorough, professional and no nonsense. Gets to the point quickly. His office staff is also excellent. The outpatient operation went smoothly and quickly. A very, very small incision—invisible by 6 months post surgery. All of my symptoms are gone: weakness, hair loss (growing back at 6 months), joint pain, etc. So very happy with the results and I recommend Dr. Mowschenson wholeheartedly.

My thyroid surgery went smoothly, and the recovery has been great. He called me again on a Saturday, while on vacation, to discuss the pathology. I can't recommend him enough.
