Great doctor
Went in for an EEG and then a consult with Dr Kaplan, he was very thorough. Explained my issues in terms I understood. He also has an excellent sense of humor which helped my stress level.

First time I saw Dr. Kaplan, I brought detailed descriptions of my seizure activity. We talked for a few minutes and he sent me off with a third medication in addition to the 2 I'd been taking. I came back a few months later, having had a huge increase in seizure activity. He asked me almost no questions and barely looked at me while I had a small seizure in his office. He asked for blood test results, which I didn't have because his office had never sent in the order, and sent me on my way.

Dr. Kaplan was quick to lean to a possible diagnosis. I didn't feel as though I was taken serious enough NOR was I offered a return visit. He offered and I did get an EEG done but sadly I feel as though that was a "protocol" thing to do. He told me a diagnosis can't be made on a singular appointment or EEG than why did I have an EEG done in his office! I was so blindsided by the visit I am still processing the information. I have PTSD and it took me awhile to process this sadly. BOO!
