Thorough
Dr. Herman is very thorough and his exams. He doesn't like to rush and often reviews notes in the room while you're waiting. This often leaves too long wait times. I came in for moles on my body and he checked everything. He did blood test for lupus and several other things that could be found with these particular moles. He doesn't bother with treatments that he doesn't feel work or have unwanted side effects. He goes straight for what he knows and this often means it's not covered by insurance. I came in about 10 minutes early for my latest appointment, and he was the only one there. Instead of making me wait he assured me on back to the room and we got started. He's a little old-fashioned, but he gets the job done.

Worst Doctor Ever
Makes you wait for hours, even in the waiting room, gave me a pamphlet when I received my diagnosis incredibly unprofessional and rude, can never answer a question, also becareful because he came into my room talking about someone else's file thinking that person was me and even had the audacity to ask if I sure that wasn't my name after I had told him I was not that person! Don't go here ever.

Yesterday I went to an appointment with my son for a head to toe body check. He waited over 3 hours to be seen. Once he was placed in a room one of the employees entered the room & pulled the Dr out to discuss the electric bill for the business. He did not return for over an hour. The door was open to my sons exam room &the Dr was seeing other patients. When he did come in to do the exam he did the top part then stated you can come back next time for the bottom 1/2. You also have 3 suspicions areas that need to be removed. You will need to come back 3 separate times because I won't do them all at once. (my son is self pay)Each visit will be $400 plus the pathology fee. On top of that to finish the rest of the exam on the bottom half of the body is another visit & another fee. (I had already left the appt.) When my son left he was charged $200 for his non completed exam when he had called & asked for a quote for a head to toe self pay he was quoted $189. Are you kidding me?

Wast of my time
Walked in at 11:35 and walked out at 3:45. Dr. Herman didnt use a dermatoscope, and tried to sell me his own brand of creams and lotions. I asked for a prescription and said he didnt give them. Waited all that time for no real examination and a sales pitch. One person before him introduced himself a doctor and when I asked Dr. Herman about him he said oh no he isnt a Dr. he is only my assistant. Paid my co pay 50. for time wasted. Looking for another Dr.

Dr. Peter Herman is a professional and capable dermatologist. He is one of the better dermatologists I have seen. His down-to-earth approach was welcoming and assuring. He treated and resolved my dermatological issues. I am delighted with the medical care I received. I would not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend him to my family, friends, and associates.

Dr Herman is a patient doctor who takes his time and listens to you ad is very through. His communication experience is becoming extinct in this fast paced world and its refreshing to have this in a doctor. He accommodates his patients by having an office on the east and west sides of town. His staff is friendly and courteous. Frank

Do not go here unless you really enjoy waiting rooms!!! Nice and intelligent doctor, however his wait times are absurd! Yesterday I waited 5 1/2 hours after my appointment time and ended up just leaving. I also waited 3 hours at my previous appointment. He may not be meaning to send this message to his patients, but by making his patients wait 2, 3, 4, 5 hours after their appointment times, he is telling them that he does not respect their time.

Do not go here! I waited over two hours to be seen both times I went (one of my appointments was at 8:30am when they open). They over charged me, didn’t submit everything they charged me for to the insurance, and and have lied to my insurance saying they the doctor and office manager won’t be in for a couple days but when we call right after they’re both in. They say to call back to talk to office manager but office manager can’t hear on the phone. Won’t give you biopsy results unless u go in.

Dr. Herman's staff is very unprofessional in every way. Dr. Herman removed a suspicious mole on my 2nd appointment. he said there was another mole he was concerned about but would wait until the next visit to remove it. On my next visit I received the report, however, he refused to remove the 2nd suspicious mole because my insurance hadn't paid for the first mole removal. I called my insurance and they had in fact paid Dr. Herman, his staff just had not imputed into the system. Very poor practic

DO NOT RECOMMEND. They will overcharge you. Now I'm trying to get my money back. Don't bother to to get a straight answer they lie and talk in circles. Forget about an itemized bill you won't see one.

Dr. Herman seems nice enough, but needs to retire. My 2nd appointment was for 1:15 and by 5:00 I still hadn't seen the doctor, growing frustrated I walked out. Not sure if he is getting forgetful or, more likely, his attention was devoted to a more lucrative cosmetology type patient. I won't be going back. On my first visit he talked me into a $45 shampoo of his own creation which hasn't solved my problem. I agree with other reviews its all about the money,
