felt dismissed
I left my appointment with Dr. Dunn feeling disheartened and dismissed. While I was trying to open up about my goals and struggles, I felt like I wasn’t being heard. Dr. Dunn essentially told me—whether directly or not—that my dreams weren’t realistic or likely to happen. That’s a really discouraging stance to take, especially coming from a psychiatrist, someone who’s supposed to support mental and emotional well-being. It wasn’t the kind of help or understanding I was hoping for.

Fantastic
I cannot express enough gratitude for Dr. Peter Dunn and the profound impact he has had on my life. Ten years ago, I was at an incredibly difficult crossroads leaving me feeling devastated and suicidal. Dr. Dunn guided me through this crisis with remarkable sensitivity, empathy, and professional expertise. Throughout the past decade, I've struggled intermittently with depression, and each time Dr. Dunn has been my anchor. His consistent support, deep understanding, and compassionate care have helped me find hope and healing during challenging times. I highly recommend Dr. Dunn to anyone in need of exceptional psychiatric care and genuine human compassion.

Sensitive, Smart, Layback, Effective

Warm laid back style made me comfortable. Non judgmental approach made it easier to talk about topics that are sensitive to me. Treatment was short but it got me over the crisis I got to him in an unusual way. A few months ago I happened to hear him talk on a panel about a movie and he was just brilliant and I thought this was the doctor for me and I was right. He is not perfect but he is very good. .

Dr Dunn will know who I am because I am the one who was never helped by talk or medicine before. I am very grateful for the help I got and I wanted to say that.

I have had difficulties with the relationships in part perhaps because I am a native of Roumania and this is for me a new culture. I have done very well in business but less well in the relationships. I have found the therapy very helpful in helping me establish new relationships which I have now. He knows a lot and is understanding but does not act like he is my best friend. It was not however been quick as I was in the treatment for over a year before I stopped. I would recommend.

Found him matter of fact and professional, not super friendly but smart. Was able to get to the heart of the problem which my previous psychologist didn't get to in two years. He is a psychoanalyst trained but was my general psychiatrist - mostly talk but antidepressant.
