Dr. Dempsey was excellent
My wife had Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery performed in 2017 by Dr. Dempsey. He was excellent -- caring and exacting. The implanted DBS device has worked very well for six years. Thank you very much, Dr. Dempsey.

Dismissive and Rude
I've only had one consult visit with him, but he was the most dismissive doctor and even told me that the shunt that I have to KEEP ME ALIVE could be removed because I "seem fine" without doing any CT scans, MRIs, or XRays. I ran so fast OUT OF HIS OFFICE. THE WORST.

I saw Dr. Dempsey for consult and biopsy of brain tumor. He was very informative and took time to explain everything. The biopsy went very well. I have total confidence in him and his staff. Will be meeting him and tumor board soon to discuss results and treatment.

Dr. Dempsey performed DBS surgery on me last week, after months of consultations and evaluations. Dr. Dempsey has always been patient and unhurried when answering questions and explaining the procedure. He is relaxed and confident, and very skillful. I trust him completely.

I and my family member accompanying me agreed he was not “engaged” when telling me it was too soon to have surgery after being bedriddden for months. Stood in the doorway with his clipboard, his “exam” consisted of touching my leg above the ankle and asking if I felt that. Unsure if my images even looked at. Not confident in his diagnosis enough to have him as my surgeon. Had successful surgery elsewhere, got my life back.

My husband had his first visit with Dr. Dempsey today for a subdural hematoma. Dr. Dempsey was calm, caring and of course knowledgeable. He didn't hesitate to take time with us and answer all our questions.

My first appointment the wait was over an hour. I had 2 visits with Dr Dempsey and his office shows that he took no notes on either one of my CAT scans.
