Dr. Britton is the worst PCP I have ever had in my life. He practices corporate medicine. He neither has the time nor desires to get his hands dirty. I had a bad case of the flu and was coughing extensively. I subsequently had breathing issues being unable to get a full breath of air. I had pulmonary work ups with normal lung function. I saw a number of specialists, but all results came back negative. I complained of back pain and CT scans at Atrius did show some abnormalities. No follow up stating "everyone has back pain." Dr. Britton ultimately concluded that my breathing issue was "in my head" and refused to consider any alternatives I had raised. In effect he was tone deaf. Then he refused to sign off on my ST disability paperwork. Now at BIDMC/Partners and NE Baptist, I was diagnosed with osteopenia, have a vertebral compression fracture and C7/C8 issues, and looking to get a kyphoplasty after over 1 yr of incompetence by Dr. Britton and Atrius generally. Horrible MD.

I am very impressed and pleased with Dr. Britton and with the practice in general. Dr. Britton listens, explains things well, discusses options and how to think of them in a way that feel respectful and not patronizing. This engenders trust in his expertise. He also discusses lifestyle in a serious and unrushed and practical way. As a suburban practice things are generally less frenetic, more friendly, more convenient. Yet the quality of practitioners is often world class.
