Excellent experience
Dr B performed carpal tunnel release on both of my wrists, very successful, life changing actually. My experience with him, both in the office for the consultations and at the surgery center, then the follow up appointments, have all been great. He’s a very knowledgeable surgeon and explains things very well. I have and will continue to recommend him to friends and family.

Outstanding Plastic Surgeon
Dr Bentivegna is a rare example of a knowledgeable, highly trained, and compassionate plastic surgeon. I have been to him numerous times over the years, including diagnostic visits and surgeries. His diagnostic ability is unmatched, and his surgical skills are outstanding. He’s easy to talk with, and carefully and clearly explains his findings and plans. I have referred many friends and family to him. Highly recommended!

Outstanding
I saw Dr Bentivegna for a follow up of a broken thumb. He was very informative and explained why my wrist also hurt. I happened to have a cut I received during gardening a day earlier on my arm. Even though it wasn’t the reason I was there I asked if he’d take a look at it. He was very gracious and looked at it and thought I might have a foreign body in it as I had suspected. He incised it removed the foreign body. Excellent doctor as well as a kind and caring human being. I recommend him highly.

Disappointing experience
I had been to Dr. B for 2 trigger finger surgeries in the past. I had recommended him to friends. My last visit, for a 3rd finger, went badly. After waiting 3+ weeks for a consultation (which I knew would result in trigger finger surgery) I then had to wait another 4 weeks for the actual procedure. I was in a great deal of pain and Dr. B casually dismissed my pain by saying, 'You don't have cancer; it's just an annoying trigger finger.' He seemed to be bored and uncaring. Needless to say, I found another doc who actually seems to care. I will not go back to this doctor. Maybe I caught Dr B on a bad day, but I was floored by his cavalier attitude.

2nd Carpel Tunnel Release done
The doctor was kind, gentle, very thorough in his explanation of the condition and the surgery, plus whatever follow up may be needed. He is very calm and relaxing during office visits and surgery itself. He is also no nonsense. He came highly recommended by my mother who has had both wrists and most fingers operated on.

I saw Dr. Bentivegna a few years ago for my boutonniere deformity. He said he couldn't do anything about my hands. I'm seeing a different hand surgeon now who confirmed I have boutonniere deformity and who is working on fixing it even if it's through surgery.

I like the dr very much. He is kind & knowledgeable & has done several hand surgeries on me. I like the idea that he is a plastic surgeon as then I know that the outcome will look good. His office is clean & the staff is very nice. I feel very relaxed when I go there & feel well taken care of.

My doctor recommended Dr. Bentivegna for carpal tunnel surgery. It did not go well and I was in great pain. When I saw the doctor for my post-operative visit and told him how much pain I was in, he told me I'd probably be in pain for 6 months before it abated. There was no option given me and I was dismissed. For him, the case was closed. After hand therapy didn't improve my condition, I saw Dr. Leahy who found ongoing right median nerve injury which was worse than before surgery. Both my hand therapist and Dr. Leahy felt I needed a second operation. I saw Dr. Calianos who told me that sometimes a second surgery improved the condition; sometimes not. I decided to have the second surgery. Happily, the excruciating pain was gone and I have healed satisfactorily. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Bentivegna to anyone.

My experience with Dr. B. was excellent. He is very professional and kind. Staff is friendly and nurse for my procedure was funny and warm, and just what i needed, as stressed a bit. He called several days later to tell me that the biopsy was negative. Would highly recommend!

Horrible. Referred to Cape Cod Hospital for a procedure. There was someone else there to perform procedure. I was not informed Dr. Bentivagna would not be doing the procedure. It was not successful. The response from his office was to contact my primary care. Absolutely unprofessional and as a side note the office is filthy!

Dr. Bentivegna cleared up the severe carpal tunnel in my left hand. I couldn't believe it...I went from excruciating pain that woke me up every night to completely pain-free. I should never have waited as long as I did to deal with it. I am now about to call his office to schedule an appointment for my right hand, which has also developed carpal tunnel. I wouldn't go to anyone else. This doctor is superb.

Improved quality of life with no pain and no pain meds were my goals for my bi-lateral carpal tunnel syndrome. A friend referred me to Dr. Bentivegna and the rest (carpal tunnel pain) is history. His procedure is laparoscopic so less intrusive and less down time. Once I had my left hand adequately rehabbed at Spaulding, Dr B did my right hand and I got the same result. Pain free and medication free. I highly recommend him.

I've had the pleasure of Dr. Bentivegna operate on my hands a total of 4 times. Two trigger fingers and carpal tunnel in both hands AND I look forward to his expertise when operating on my right thumb. He and his staff are highly professional. He calls it like it is and that's what I like in a Doctor. Have recommend several people to him and the are, as am I, 100% satisfied.

This Dr. is only worried about getting paid. He is unethical and not trustworthy. Asked me to go through Workmans Comp when I did not want to. He would not treat me until I did. I am finding a new Doctor.
