Would have died if not for him and UPenn staff!
I was transferred to UPenn in Jan of 2018 after a HORRIBLE car accident in June of 2017. Thankful a doctor near to my home was able to save my life the night of the accident but I had sustained so much trauma that I needed a MIRACLE. Dr. Abt (and everyone else in the liver/kidney transplant department as well as infectious disease department) was that miracle! I him/them my life! They were extremely professional but also compassionate, understanding and took the time to explain things in detail! My situation was dire and he did everything to make sure I would see 29 years old! Thank you doctor Abt and everyone else involved in my care!

Performed a flawless 9 hour double nephrectomy and kidney transplant surgery for me. Inspired confidence in my well-being and was assuring of a good outcome which calmed my anxiety greatly.

Very caring , explains the operation , tells the positive and negative of your operation and his bed side manner is excellent. In my eyes he loves to make people well. He will do everything he can to better your quality of life. I am a liver transplant patient who was walking the halls after 4 days...THANK YOU DR.ABT, WILL EVANS
