Dr. Pedro Cosculluela, MD

Dr. Cosculluela is very dismissive, arrogant, and unable to answer questions with clarity or specifics. The whole experience with him was so disappointing that we immediately made an appointment with another orthopedic surgeon while still in the parking lot at Dr. Cosculluela's office.

I loved the fact that the appointment with this physician and team was effective and efficient, but did not feel rushed. The information I received was accurate and helpful.

I had a long delay on follow up to schedule appt for surgery with another Dr., and then when I finally did get appt and went in for pre-op, was told in a very dismissive manner that I was misdiagnosed initially and they would not help me. It was such a strange experience from start with that Dr., who will go nameless. I rushed out to find another doctor and found Dr Cosculluela. He took me in right away and explained why I was misdiagnosed in clear thoughtful manner that was not dismissive. He understood my urgency to get the surgery after a delay with 6 month wait, and was able to schedule appt for surgery the next week. His office has excellent follow up, return calls, keeps you informed with respectful attitude. Overall, you sense a care for the patient. I’m in healing now, after surgery, in regular shoes and able to walk dog again. I feel confident in rating him as an excellent doctor. So grateful I found Dr. Cosculluela in the Knick of time.

I would give 0 stars if i had that option. I had been dealing with foot pain for almost 2 years and decided to seek a second opinion. I met with Dr. Pedro and within 5 minutes I was being scheduled for surgery. I had surgery April 5, 2023. I healed and did therapy as ordered. I continued to have the same pain only worse, sharp shooting pains and numbness and tingling. I recently sought a second opinion with another surgeon, he ordered another MRI that showed worsening of the plantar fascia a new tear and no medical intervention for the issue surgery was to address. Now there is scar tissue on the nerve. I have to endure another surgery to fix the original problem and fix the nerve impingement I'm now suffering with thanks to Dr. Pedro.

This person is dismissive, arrogant, and uncaring. I have never had an experience where a doctor cared so little. He barely answered my questions, and was flippant in at least two of his answers. I understand a foot fracture is not a big deal, but the appointment was humiliating and degrading. I canceled my follow-up with him, and rescheduled with a doctor in the office who is kind, caring and professional. I do not recommend this person.

Visit was thorough, efficient, and Dr. Cosculluela seemed competent and reassuring as well as informative in lay terms. He told me what to expect in healing process. He has good bedside manner.

I was very impressed with my first visit due to a pain in my ankle after a total knee replacement. Dr Pedro quickly worked me into his schedule with little notice and came up with a diagnosis and recommendations that have been working. Courteous, knowledgeable and effective. Definitely would recommend.

I had an odd swelling in my knee that had been continuous and the pain became unbearable. We came to the ER and Dr. Cosculleula was able to study my records and determine what the problem was. It turned out to be a very serious infection that he was able to treat immediately. Because of his quick analysis and timely response, he almost definitely saved my life! Dr. Cosculluela was timely, professional, knowledgeable and made a differential diagnosis before sending me for further testing to rule in or rule out the condition. Exactly what I want in a doctor.

I have been having foot pain for over a year and had been receiving care from a local Orthopedic specialist. After over a year of injections, inserts, buying special tennis shoes (which I do not wear tennis shoes, I wear cowgirl boots) going to therapy and no improvement, I was told there was nothing more he could do unless I wanted to try custom orthotics that may or may not work, (his words) I left the office in tears. My PCP suggested looking for a second opinion in Austin or Dallas, which I did. By 5he way, the expensive orthotics may work but only when you're wearing them. So, I look online, read reviews, and decides on Dr. C, 5he reviews are low about his bedside manner and arrogance and in my opinion most Doctors possess that character trait. There were no negative remarks about his abilities and skills so I chose him. I have had great difficulty for many years due to several deformities in my foot and toes. In January 2023, Dr. Cosculluela solved those problems beyond my expectations with an uncomplicated 90 minute outpatient surgery. His pre-op and post-op visits are complete, timely, professional and all my questions and concerns addressed with patience, expertise and kindness. Five years ago, my foot was literally falling apart - heel sliding out to side - and very painful to walk. Dr. C put me in a brace for a while, explained what was happening and what was needed to fix it. He was very pleasant and no nonsense about what would be required post-op for a successful outcome. Followed his instructions to the letter. Foot has some range of motion limitations, as he said it would, but I can walk normally and have walked 5-6 miles at a time with no discomfort. Highly recommend.

He fixed both of my feet and was pleasant. He answered my questions and got me walking with out pain.

I went to Dr. Coscullela for severe foot pain. His PA was very personable and friendly so I was so surprised when Dr. C came in and barely even said hello. He asked me 2 questions, said my x-rays were fine (then in the same sentence that it could be a stress fracture and those often don't show up on x-rays yet declined to do additional diagnostic testing), told me to wear stiffer-soled shoes and that was it. He came off as very dismissive, as if I were boring him with my very presence...pretty much a jerk if I'm being honest. I will never go back to this doctor and will tell my family and friends to find someone else who actually listens and cares...or at least pretends to!

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a Dr from Methodist. Abrupt, dismissive, zero bedside manner. I declined to schedule the follow up appointment he recommended. I’ll go elsewhere.

Excellent doctor and took care of my foot issues immediately. Knowledgeable about what the injury was and was able to setup surgery immediately. Takes time to discuss his findings and lays out your recovery timeline.

We had an excellent experience with Dr C. My son broke both his feet requiring surgery and Dr C got him scheduled for the very next day. He explained everything thoroughly and I felt confident that we had the right Dr. I found him to be very caring and showed concern for my son's well being. My son's recovery is going great and has returned to sports much sooner than we anticipated.
