Awful nurse on staff
Such a shame that Dr Nicola’s lead nurse Laura is so awful, because I really like Dr. Nicola. Unfortunately you spend way more time dealing with her patronizing, rude and lazy nurse than Dr Nicola, so it’s just not worth going anymore. I’ve just had so many problems with her. Unbelievable . Our family is sadly finding a new doctor. Life is too short to be treated like that.

Dr. Nicola has been my ophthalmologist for quite a few years. She is always friendly and very knowledgeable. I have a rare disease that can result in blindness if not treated properly. Thanks to her advice and research on treatment options, my symptoms are well-controlled, and my vision is excellent. Her staff is always friendly, and wait times at her office are much lower than what many offices now consider "normal". I highly recommend Dr. Nicola and Eyecare Chattanooga.

In general, I have found the Erlanger Health System physicians to be excellent from both a clinical expertise and consumer friendly perspective. Dr. Nicola and eye technician staff likewise were clinically thorough with my history and basic routine exam, and took time to answer all my questions, despite a packed waiting room. My appointment also started relatively on time with little wait. The valet parking service at the physicians office building is also a nice plus.

Dr Nicola, has great bedside manner, and talks at your level. Having recently transferred here from Chicago, it is nice to feel at home with her and have the level of care I got from a big city hospital. I would recommend her to anyone!
