Dr. Paula Bergamini, MD

I have been going to Dr. Bergamini for just about 20 years. She is a great listener, is patient as you explain what's going on, and has great instincts about diagnosis and treatment plans. She is also pretty conservative in treating issues, which I like. One other thing: When my other docs (such as cardiologist, orthopod, gastro, urologist) ask who my primary care is, I tell them Dr. Bergamini. At least 5-6 times those doctors have told me I'm lucky, because Dr. B is a great primary care doctor. That should tell you something.

Dr. Bergamini has been my primary doctor for almost 17 years! She's simply wonderful. She always takes the time to listen, to answer all my questions. She always takes detailed notes. She is kind and always has a nice mile. I highly recommend Dr. Bergamini.

Doctor does not take time to read your chart. Her diagnosis is a joke, I ended up in the emergency room and never even called to check on me. Thanks for nothing.

Dr. Bergamini is very thorough, knowledgeable, and personable. She has been my primary care doctor for more than a decade. She relies on testing to monitor different medical situations, listens to patients, and communicates well.

Dr. Bergamini has been my primary care physician for at least 20 years. I have nothing but good things to say about her! She’s very sharp, up to date and caring. And I love Virginia Hospital Center. It doesn’t feel like a hospital. I wish parking were cheaper, but at least convenient parking is available.

Dr. Bergamini has been my PCP for the past 15 years. She is kind and caring. She pays attention and takes the time to listen to your concerns. You don't feel like she is rushing to get out the door. Only once, to my memory, can I think of something that was overlooked. With two exceptions, I have been very pleased with her specialist referrals. She is definitely one of the best.

Dr. Bergamini is apparently over-whelmed by her patient load. For my last two visits she has failed to review my lab results and send them to me until I have called her office and insisted that they be sent. My last visit was over two month ago and she has not yet reviewed my lab results.

After a near-fatal post-op infection I needed a PCP to manage my complicated medical history. My GYN referred me to "Dr. B"- who got me through a very difficult recovery and continues to provide excellent care 10 yrs later. She is a "trauma-informed" provider, and is the best listener I have encountered in my 57 yrs. She's thoughtful, careful, ethical and has excellent boundaries. This, and her stellar medical knowledge makes her a rare find. I'll never find another doc as good as Dr. B.

Dr. Bergamini is great. She really cares about her patients and takes time to know them. Unlike other doctors I have seen, she does not go through the motions. I feel that I am very lucky to have found her.
