Love this doctor, wouldn't switch for anything.
Dr. Stoopack is the most knowledgeable, competent G.I. doctor I know. Ok, there is a long wait but to me it's worth it. He explained everything to me and LISTENS. I had a colonoscopy and while waiting in the recovery room I noticed Dr. Stoopack was the only doctor to come out and speak to his patient after the procedure, that was me. People were being released and no one addressed them. So if I have to wait I do. If you want the best you have to expect this. And the girls in the office are great. Not friendly, hard to believe.

Poorly run office, and no communication.
I choose Dr. Stoopak having had successful treatment in the past. I had a scheduled appointment to see Dr. Stoopak at 1:20pm. This appointment was made two months earlier and was the soonest available. I did not receive a courtesy reminder call the day before as most doctors offices will do now days. But I was early to my appointment though, checking in at 1:18. I sat there waiting in a rather uncrowded waiting room for an hour and forty five minutes with no communication from the front desk. No excuse or apology was given for the excessive wait time. With another scheduled commitment later that afternoon I left at 3:05pm without seeing the doctor. This total waste of time, without excuse or apology, should not be acceptable to anyone. Do not book an appointment with this doctor's office unless you have plenty of time to waste. Your time is valuable too!

Great doctor. Compassionate, humble spirit, knowledgeable in his trade, appears to love what he does and he takes time with his patients. Just some of his many traits. I'm sure he has more

My experience was not a very good one. The doctor was very professional. The office manager was unprofessional. Office manager was incompetent not sending the paperwork for a COVID test at the hospital. Will never go to that office again

Dr.Stoopack on 600 Pavonia is the best gastrointestinal doctor in Jersey City. He has been my doctor for years. Professional, kind and takes his time explaining your diagnosis and treatments. Extremely humble, gentle soul. THE BEST! The office is clean and the staff are friendly, professionals. They make you feel right at home.

I did not see the doctor yet,,,, and I already have a problem with it. First, to make an appointment with the doctor is so difficult. Takes 25 mins with Martha. Still, she spelled things wrong. Forget the email address spelling back. Social Security is requited to make an appointment there. Strange, right. I got to the different doctor.

Jersey City Medical Center referred me to Dr. Stoopack to follow-up on my diverticulitis. He spent a lot of time discussing my treatment options with me. He's very good about returning phone calls and answering questions thoroughly. He also did my colonoscopy a few years ago. Both the prep and the procedure were easy and comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Stoopack.

75 minutes after arrival, one hour past scheduled appointment, they JUST took vital signs. No explanation for the wait, and second time with this doctor it's happened. The doctor seems fine, it's the way either his staff schedules or runs things that is the issue. I get there are always issues with waiting -- but no acknowledgement until I actually get up and ask at the one hour mark -- and then they suddenly take vitals 5 minutes later? I expect this as a walk in, not with an appointment!
