Take my advice and RUNNNNN!!!!!!!

Our daughter was very anxious about the process of her wisdom being pulled. care and explanation to her and Mom were less than expected. was explained that it was pretty much routine procedure, while 3 of her teeth were impacted and the recovery rate was longer than explained or expected. Upon leaving had to pick up her prescription and the office incorrectly called in her prescription, (didn't give her name or DOB). The front office had problems billing the insurance company under normal procedure and provided incorrect information to the insurance company and thus resulted in us paying an additional- $300

My daughter was referred for 2 wisdom teeth removed, 1 impacted. I looked into the surgery, risks etc. & Am aware Dr's are not perfect & can't be. W/4 star rating on web we agree. Surgery that should take minimum 45 minutes took under 15, she walked out 12 minutes after she walked in by car clock. The swelling & pain indescribable & began losing voice. Saturday called him & as she spoke he told her to go to the ER INSTANTLY. By her voice he knew she was in trouble. She had developed sepsis; her throat was swelling shut. ER Dr called Savannah & MUSC for a bed: no room. Had to hold her in case she lost airway requiring intubation. emergency surgery upon arrival. A yr later no feeling in tongue or bottom lip. Reason for est time of 45 minutes is Dr to have time carefully avoiding nerves in face controlling smile, eyelid, feeling in tongue, lips, cheeks. She had problems w/ all cuz he chose to rush this surgery; RECKLESS AND IRRESPONSIBLE. We now hear of multiple stories identical to this

My son had his wisdom teeth removed. Dr Shirley was extremely kind and patient with us. The experience was excellent.

Excellent. Would recommend Dr Shirley to anyone having teeth removed I felt absolutely nothing and had no problems after in the healing process. He also does implants. His office staff is also excellent I give them as many stars as possible

Dr Shirley was the best I have been to. I had a tooth extracted and did not feel a thing. I was in and out of the office in 25 minutes. The staff were all very friendly as well. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Shirley to anyone . A great experience overall and you dont hear that often after getting a tooth pulled!

Dr. Shirley is an experienced, competent and very compassionate doctor and his staff was a pleasure to work with. Sometimes the staff can help or hinder a practice and this staff was a great compliment to a great doctor. He was not in a rush, answered all of our questions and explained things that our first doctor( with a less than optimal staff) did not. They treated my daughter like a family member and made us feel safe in his hands. Very clean, organized, timely and well run practice.
