No longer cares
My wife has seen Dr. Rizzoli for years. He just doesn't care or listen to his patients at all. His condiscening manor and obvious hubris causes you to feel like you are a bother because of your pain. He increased a medication, never called in the presciption, then when my wife ran out, his office wouldn't just call it in. It's been days with no resopnse despite numerous calls. She is feeling the side effects, being dizzy and in pain from not having the medication. Switching Dr's and I recommend no one ever goes to see this uncaring....

Best Neurologist Around
I had suffered with headaches for about six months prior to seeing Dr Rizzoli. I had been in and out of the ER and Doctors offices until finally after seeing a neurologist that could not find anyway to treat my migraines referred me to Dr. Rizzoli. At my first appointment, I knew this was going to be the start of an ongoing patient, Doctor relationship that was finally going to get some answers. He listened to my story, asked about all the medication I had tried, then we began a journey to find out what or why these headaches were happening. I kept a headache journal, everything I ate, drank, my sleep patterns, & most specifically when a headache occurred, what happened at that time, asking all the questions a Dr should ask. We then started to try some medication & I took a sleep study, and we did a pain clinic, which neither helped. We found out that I had daily chronic headaches and Chronic Migraines. His staff is friendly and I have been seeing him for approx. 2005

You Dr. Rizzoli you are my HERO
Telehealth
I can honestly admit the first appointment I had with Dr. Rizzoli along side me was my loving and supportive husband. When we sat down with him I was very anxious because of past experiences within this area of my complex health issues that what other neurologists wouldn't take me or my symptoms or my case seriously. Before the three of us sat down he reassured my husband and I that there will be trials and errors to come out with a successful treatment plan. At first I thought Dr. Rizzoli, was going to be just another one that didn't care. In fact my husband and I were BLOWN away with his bed side manners and his thorough explanation. Since 10/23/99 I have had migraines upwards of endless daily battles with these. In the past 24 years of my almost 33 years on earth NO neurologist has EVER said to me that we will have to retrain your body/head to understand that pain and to begin to lessen the pain. Dr. Rizzoli also wants to retrain my brain feel pain and not go numb. Numb is BAD.

Wonderful
Dr R is a thoughtful and thorough MD. He listens carefully and explains things well. Migraine headaches are a confusing and frustrating beast. Unfortunately the beast is one that requires careful attention to detail to be tamed. I like how Dr R doesn't miss a beat, is open to new alternatives and approaches, but is also measured and introspective before diving in feet first to the 'latest and greatest' silver bullet cure. I value his experience and input. Also I really like everyone on his team I have worked with in the office.

Impossible to get an appointment. Called on 9/31/16 for a cluster headache and they told me the next appointment is next year. I will kill myself before that. Nasal spray and prescription can't stop this massive headache. I'll probably have to quit my job since it's extremely debilitating. I asked if they can refer me to someone else and they said no. Why are you advertising that you are accepting new patient when you can't even see your patient who's been on your record for the past 7 years?
