Listens well and very caring. Trust him totally.
After seeing Dr. Peterson myself for years I switched my father to him because his physician didn’t know how to listen to him and was very impatient. My father was very slow and had issues remembering quickly. Dr. Peterson always spoke directly to him and listened to him. He cared for my father for years and my father loved him. I will never forget his kindness and will always stay with him as long as he is practicing. I highly recommend especially if you need a Dr. who listens to you!

I moved back to Sioux City four years ago, and Dr. Peterson was recommended to me by a friend. I am shocked about some of the other reviews posted here, but that’s why people can post reviews. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Peterson (except he is a Hawkeye’s fan), and have been very happy with his care. I believe he is an outstanding family doc. I have and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a family doc.

When I began seeing him 10 years ago he was very thorough and good. Now the care he provides just sucks. I’m a nurse with an advanced degree and he’s clearly forgotten that because he talks to me like an idiot and he does some stupid crap like palpating my abdomen while I’m sitting up with my coat on. I go in for a cough and he does a chest X-ray and doesn’t even look in my ears, nose, throat..(rule out sinsus doc!) And he’s in the room for maybe 2 minutes.

I would highly discourage anyone from seeing this doctor. Several times he walked in basically just to blow me off in a couple of seconds and misdiagnose me without really listening to me, resulting in me going to the emergency room and being admitted for serious life threatening issues. He blew off my chest pains as stress and walked out with no exam. Turns out I had pneumonia, pleurisy, and an enlarged heart due to severe postpartum edema and needed to be hospitalised for a week.
