Touched By An Angel
Dr. McCormick exudes confidence. He was very patient in listening to my condition and answering my questions. I was extremely confident in his ability and went into surgery knowing I was going to made whole again. Three weeks following my surgery I was almost pain free and off all pain medication. Now three months later I'm 95% back to my old self, pain free, standing tall and celebrating my 80th birthday.

There is no Better!!!!! In thanked god for him
Excellent I won’t deny that his people can be as warm and fuzzy but he’s brilliant and as far as his bedside manner is concerned well I guess I would rather have the BEST IN THE WORLD then worry about his demeanor. I had surgery 2019 and I need to see him again 2022 and I pray he has time and I can see him as fast as possible because honestly I would never want anyone else touching my spine but him

I don’t understand these reviews saying his bedside manor is horrible. First and foremost he is an amazing surgeon and I have my quality of life back because of him. What’s important to me is the fact that I’m better after he operated on me. He could have been a complete arrogant pig and I wouldn’t care As long as my pain went away. But he’s NOT! He’s a sweet gentleman and although I only had about 3-4 visits with him I can guarantee you he cares about his patients. I’ve been a nurse for 15 years and have worked with plenty of docs that think they’re better than you or I. Dr Mccormick is not one of them. I highly recommend him!

He is knowledgeable but that’s where it ends. His bedside manner couldn’t be worse. I was terrified to even speak to him because he was so rude and abrupt. His staff is also atrocious. They must hate their jobs because their attitude matches his. His ego has obviously taken over. It’s a shame. I’d look elsewhere. There are surgeons who are just as good, if not better.

My husband had surgery several years ago he took on tge case even though it was above his oat grade he had a benign tumor in the spine after surgery he suggested 25 sessions of radiation because he couldn’t get it all out my husband continued to have pain after seeing a top NYU neurosurgeon who then had to perform a 10 hour surgery because dr McCormick tried to hide the fact of wrong doing . Years later we met a new neighbor who also had back surgery by dr McCormick a simple back surgery the man can’t walk now fir 3 years he messed him up too. Who knows how many patients ge continues to mess up up shame on him blood on his hands

Dr. McCormick is an exceptional Surgeon and great man. Dr. McCormick performed my successful Microdiscectomy surgery which gave me back my ability to walk and function. After a major disc herniation which included Cauda Equina Syndrome, I had doubts anyone could help me. I was fortunately proven wrong. I would encourage anyone in my situation to consult with Dr. McCormick. I cannot say enough about how much I admire this man.

Dr. Paul McCormick is the best spinal surgeon on the planet. He conducted a spinal fusion which was successful. Every day I'm grateful for my recovery, painless life, and Dr. McCormick. He is a good man who took time to simply communicate my issues and his proposed surgical solution. You can tell he really cares about his patients.

Dr. McCormick was the 3rd doctor I saw for an opinion after promptly being told during the 1st opinion that I needed surgery. EHLERS-DANLOS PATIENTS, HE KNOWS OUR CONDITION WELL! What a blessing! My 2nd opinion doctor, Jeffrey Goldstein of NYU, was absolutely terrible. Despite my apprehension after a terrible 2nd opinion, I went to see Dr. McCormick. Even though he told me that I did not need surgery early in the visit, he listened to all of my concerns and gave me constructive feedback. Not only was he patient & thorough, but his bedside manner was very comforting. I wish I could see him for all of my medical problems. Dr. McCormick is a very high quality doctor.

Fifteen years ago I had somewhat of a minor surgery with Dr. Mc'Cormick that relieved me of all pain as it was a discectomy and I was back to work in 10 days..he noted I had some other issues but of no concern now. He was right.. when I went to see him again I told him " I can't stay like this, I can't walk and have a lot of pain and to please help me get my life back.. his reply was I can help but only with a multi spinal fusion, L4,L5,L5, S1. I was scared to death but I had the confidence in him to help me. I am now post op 10 months and feeling 90 percent better!! A bit more PT and I feel I will be even better. I can only say you go to a world class hospital and get a renowed surgeon as Dr. Mc'Cormick and you are lucky... very lucky..Thank You Dr. Mc'Cormick, I am and will be forever grateful to you!! I would also like to Thank your entire team and your nurse assistant Jane! They are all tops, to say the least!!

Have you ever heard the words, “you have an intramedullary spinal cord tumor” ? Well I unfortunately did. I was shattered and did not know who to see about this. I was shattered and in excruciating pain taking multiple prescription medications to control my pain. All this with numbness and mild neurological deficits. Dr. McCormick changed all that for me; he’s an amazing surgeon. Six months after surgery I’m medication free and still improving.

Excellent physician with a great personality. I was able to schedule an appointment and get treatment very expeditiously. It turned out to be an extremely rare tumor of the spine, but this hardly stunned Dr. McCormick! He handled it with ease and dexterity of someone who had seen a thousand of these. World class neurosurgeon! Great office staff too!
