I went to Dr. Matino for a knee replacement that turned into a nightmare. Turns out his hospital was dirtier than the offices and the staff at the hospital was hateful and lazy. I think their main goal is to sell a lot of pain meds.

Don't go here
This place is horrible. Horrible staff, horrible management, and horrible care. They don't care at all about their patients even in life or death matters .

I think he needs to take his Doctors oath again. The Doctor sits there and degrades you. Your there because of all the pain your in. He doesn’t care about your pain. He is just making a lot of money off patents that need help. The office stafff is just as rude and uncaring as the Doctor is.

My family has had several surgeries with Dr. Maitino. He used to be wonderful, but no more. Sadly, the last operation I had with him was an anterior approach hip replacement. I had already had my right hip replaced with another doctor. There are reasons to avoid the anterior approach. In my case, a factor for considering the anterior approach is obesity. This reason alone should have disqualified me for the anterior approach. Dr. Maitino did not mention this or any of the possible downsides. In my postoperative office visits he was rude, condescending, and detached. I explained the difficulties I was having, especially that there were difficulties that I did not experience with my first hip replacement, but he blew off my concerns. To this day, I have diminished use of my left leg, a giant concave dent in my upper left thigh, and my muscles there have not, and will not, recover. I would HIGHLY SUGGEST that anyone considering Dr. Maitino RUN to another surgeon as fast as you can.

Dr Maitino does not care about his patience if can’t help you with one visit, I guess. I am on workers comp and can not sit or stand for very long without being in pain and he gave me 2 injections and sent me for 2 rounds of Physical Therapy which neither helped my pain and all he can say is he doesn’t know what else to do. He is very condescending and rude at times. I will not go back to him.

I had shoulder surgery performed by him and went well so I used him again on patella surgery on the knee, this time he was quick, I felt rushed and unappreciated, also he left a 12mm cyst in my knee and said he didn’t want to take it out because the VA will pay for it later. Unbelievable.

All the reviews I read were right on seems as if he doesn’t listen. Acts as if you’re just another $. And 4 months after my surgery my knee is still swollen and still in pain. He wouldn’t listen when I tryed to explain something isn’t right.

His nurse practitioner does not listen to patients. She was told on four separate occasions that the dosage they kept prescribing was too low for effective pain management. Repeatedly told her that one pill was not enough and that I usually had to take one and a half to two pills to get the pain under control. Means I would run out before my next appointment and after 3 or 4 days it's no longer in your system so when they gave urinalysis it came up negative. So they released me from treatment.

As far as his staff for the most part he is lucky to have them because, the man is very condescending. Had a bad feeling about the man when he asked me no less than three times in our short (and I mean very short ) conversation if I had a job like that's all he was interested in. Not what was causing me pain.

Never had a good feeling about Dr .Should have listened to my gut feeling. I found him to be uncaring, egotistical, condescending and brash. Never felt like a person to him, just another $. 3 years ago he did my hip replacement. The surgery left me with a dropped foot. This is not a small issue and I should have rated him immediately. My life has never been the same. Lots of therapy, braces, and heartache for me and my family. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Unprofessional. Does not listen to his patient concerns, cuts you off and does not let you voice concerns and acts offended when you question him. Reception staff acts very put out when anyone approaches the desk. Does not return phone calls and messages left after surgery, ended up going to the ER. Was told at the appt that we could pick up copies the next day and it would be put on priority to make sure it was ready, it wasn't ready and no one knew anything about it. Very disappointed.

May be experienced and knowledgeable but with that is a very busy office with long wait times. Once he finally did come into the room, seemed as if he was in such a hurry to get in and out to the next patient that he didn't really consider my issue nor take the time to carefully evaluate. Once he left the room, tried to get a prescription for a brace and was too late. Didn't have the time once leaving the room to write a prescription for a brace so turns out patients are numbers and $.
