Dr. Paul Kroner Florit, MD

Dr. Kroner is both brilliant and compassionate. During my lengthy consultation, he explained everything in a more thorough and detailed way than any previous doctor, including illustrations that defined my problem and allowed me to make careful, informed decisions. I elected to proceed with the necessary exploratory procedure, and Dr. Kroner visited me in hospital before and after the surgery to reassure me, and followed up with detailed answers to every one of my questions in the days after. I can’t say enough good things about this specialist and my treatment. Five star doctor!

Dr Kröner treated my 96 year-old father who entered ER at Mayo for black stools. He was very patient, answered questions and explained situation about need to do endoscopy for a diagnosis and possible treatment. His first advice was to wait and watch whether hemoglobin level stabilizes with medication rather than risk unnecessary endoscopy procedure which is riskier for an elderly patient. Since my father’s hemoglobin level did not stabilize, he recommended the procedure. In less than 30 minutes, his GI team performed endoscopy and successfully treated bleeding stomach ulcers and veins on my father. He is a pleasant, competent doctor who doesn’t condescend but genuinely cares about patients and enjoys his job. He listens and considers all options. The entire team, nurses and CNAs, at Mayo was highly competent and professional.
