Kind and very informative!

I have been a patient of Dr. Kostamo for over 30 years now, as well as many of my family members are patients. I find him EXTREMELY intelligent and a great listener. I don't like the affiliation with WellMed, they're not great, but Dr. Kostamo himself is someone I trust with my health and would stay with him no matter what.

I hope Dr. Kostamo reads this review. I was his patient for 8 years and left previously after his office was impossible to work with and his PA Ashley left. I recently decided to come back and give it a try again after needing a new primary care (my change of insurance caused me to lose my new PCP). I scheduled over the phone and his team took down my insurance information and told me they accepted it. I had to wait a month to see him because I was "re-establishing" with his office. I arrived at the appointment and was told they don't accept my insurance. After asking multiple times for them to check, they still claimed they didn't accept my insurance. I waited a month for this appointment and it was a waste of my time off of work and a waste of expensive gas. Don't bother trying to go to this office. It's a shame because I liked Dr. Kostamo in the past.

Dr. Kostamo is great but the office is lacking. You never get a call back and they are always too busy to help! No matter what time you call, it’s the same, we will handle it and call back. Neither happen! My family might change doctors due to the office staff incompetence.

Excellent office . I have treated with many, many doctors over the past 65 years and I definitely know good from bad. Dr. Kostamo is at the top of the good list. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and methodical. He takes his time and actually listens to the problems and provides down to earth answers to my questions. His advise and treatment has always been helpful. His staff is also extremely professional, helpful and pleasant. I have never felt rushed or uncomfortable while visiting his office. Plus, I have never had to wait long to either schedule a visit or to wait once there.

My two sons and I have been patients of Dr Kostamos for almost a year. My sons last appointment ended with Dr Kostamo yelling at my son, using profanity and slamming papers down as he stormed out of the room. Seeing the doctor talk and act that way toward him greatly upset and disappointed me. He never apologized to me or my son. It is inexusable that a physician would act this way regardless of the situation. Although he is extermely knowledgeable; the general expectation of a physician is at least professionalism. The people I had referred to him now know the possibility of his explosive anger. Needless to say we are all going elsewhere for our care despite the empathetic and professional support from his staff members.

Dr. Kostamo has been my doctor for at least 15 years. He is a great listener and very knowledgeable. He is patient when he explains or answers any questions you have. He is very personable and it apppears to me that he was born to be a physician! I have the utmost respect for him as well as trust. He has always been available in times of need and support. He has a wonderful and caring staff. They make it easy for patients as they get messages to doctor quickly and return calls when necessary.

I can't say enough good about this doctor and staff. They are the most caring, kind and professional staff I've ever known at a doctors office. They treat me like an old friend and also they know their stuff! I always feel confident in their treatment plans. I actually drive an hour to see them because they are worth making the drive. Love Dr Kostamo and his staff. Thankful for the excellent care my family and I always get here!

Very patient and listens. Does not rush you through like so many other doctors. Office looked dated but I will trade that for a doctor who treats you like a person.

Best doctor I've ever had. He actually will spend however long you need with him, and explains things in easy to understand language. I've had to wait a long time to see him on one or two occasions, but most other times I'm back there within 30 minutes. Highly recommended!

Dr. Kostamo is an wonderful and knowledgeable Dr. Who actually listens to his patients and explains things in plain English.

Excellent diagnostician. Spends all the time you need explaining & answering questions. As a result, you may have to wait a little bit, but no longer than for other doctors. Hard to find a doctor these days who is this well trained, takes time with patients and really cares. His staff is nice. His PA is excellent. The office isn't fancy but the level of care makes up for it. I'll take a great doc over a fancy office. My husband and I drive 40 minutes to see him. He's that good!
