Has dropped dramatically in last 5 years
He runs an assembly line practice using nurses to cover the majority of his patients. They are nothing more than chart reader and can provide no real skilled analysis. Dr. Jo used to explain conditions and provide 'what to expect' with procedures. Now he just wants to show his face hits the cash register and move on to the next cash cow.

Dr Jo is caring, awesome Christian doctor who prays with you and is very concern about your health. He is a passionate, about his work and patients. This is the best doctor that cared for me, he explained everything. My surgery went well. His bedside manners were great. I have and will recommend him to everyone I know.

I would never recommend him to my dog let alone an
Dr was rude, went there for 6 months ,prostate cancer was diagnosed first visit.just kept ordering test for him to do.6 months later finally got first lupron shot.wanted me to pay for it as they never got approval before they administered it. Never went back was sick of sitting in the exam room for really long periods of time for a few minutes of Dr time and no treatment I am sure he made a lot from the tests but my husband sure did not get any better. I now take him to UF where they actually care.

Office is a problem
Dr Jo was very good but trying to communicate with him via office was a nightmare. Sometimes no one is available at all. After cystoscopy done and cancer found took extra week for surgery because office didn’t see referral sent from his cardiologist one day after requested. Not even going to go into post op office problems. Just know what you will face with office, they were kind but just a mess

He was nasty, rude, arrogant and did not listen to anything I had to say. When I did not agree with him he said go see another doctor and open the door for me.

Worst Doctor ever!
Had a Urolift done by Dr. Jo. I continued to have problems so he recommended another Cystoscopy. He started the cystoscopy and them stopped it and told me I was ready for A Urolift. I told him that he had already done that. He told me I was fine and ran out of the room. What a Quack. I compained to the office staff and was told I would be contacted by Dr. Jo. Of course that never happened. This guy should have his medical license taken away.

Very rushed
Was in a room waiting within about 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment, so not to bad in my opinion. But then waited for about 30 minutes before Dr. Jo came. When he was there felt very rushed. He controlled the entire conversation and barely allowed me to explain the symptoms I have been experiencing, which I had documented so it was straight forward. Nor did I get to express concerns due to family history. I do feel like he did do what was is a good follow up based on the 10,000ft view of info he had. He was just so fast to get in and out. Felt like I was nothing more than a number and not a patient.

Christian, Caring, Skilled, & a Busy Doctor
Dr. Jo is a busy guy! You can expect to wait a half hour or longer at an office appointment. This isn't because he doesn't care that you're waiting, it is simply because he's so good that a lot of people request him to be their doctor. For me, Dr. Jo was knowledgeable about what was going on and performed my surgery. I couldn't wait the 2 weeks until my surgery date because of pain. When I explained this to his nurse, Dr Jo himself returned my call and scheduled my surgery for the very next day. He was more than accommodating and genuinely cared about how I was feeling. His front office staff can be a bit harsh. (I would be the same way if people were constantly complaining to me.) Yet they are professional. The nurses at his surgery center are phenomenal. They do everything they can to comfort you. It is nice to have a wonderful Christian doctor who you can trust. Dr. Jo has been a blessing to me.

Worst doctor Ive ever seen. Waited 2 hours for 5 minutes of his time. Felt like a number. He took me off a medication I've been on for ten years and then prescribed a brand new pill that is t covered by any insurance. His staff is very rude and hasty . Do not go here. Do not go here. Horrible doctor and awful bed side manner

Had appointment today at 4:15 although I did have to wait I found him very informative laying out all my options and came up with a planned treatment to care for my situation. He was very concerned about how I felt and wanted to assure me the outcome would be a lot better than my current condition.

Dr Jo insisted that I go through a series of test (3) to determine my candidacy for Urolift. I passed all tests and then waited three months for the procedure. First delay excuse was waiting for insurance approval, second they were waiting for the "kits" third excuse waiting for Dr Jo to pick a date to do procedure. I gave up and going to a different Doctor,

What visit!!! I have had three appointments for a procedure with Dr. Jo and each have been cancelled. One in August, cancelled. One in September, cancelled. One in October, cancelled as I was walking out my door to go to the office. No consideration at all for a patient. Have never been treated so disrespectful by a physician. One cancellation would be understandable; but, three????? No way would I ever recommend this office.

Dr. Jo chooses your treatment without giving the range of options, totally ignoring the principle of informed consent. We found that the treatment Dr. Jo chose for my husband was definitely not the best medical choice but rather the one that made him the most money. He works alone, not in a practice that might have higher standards for patient care.

Had an appointment on June 10 at 1pm. This appointment was made last year. I got to the western office at 12:45 no one was there. Me and another patient waited 15 min. then we left. I called when I got home and was told Dr. Jo only goes to the western office twice a month., no longer every Thursday as before. I was told by the office staff I should have been called to be rescheduled. They admitted that they failed to call other patients as well. Now I have to wait another month to see the Dr. Jo. Poor planning causes poor results.
