Dr. Paul German, MD

Dr. German is very smart, very efficient, and he has a good understanding of what needs to be done in the moment, and what after-care can follow up. As an ER doctor he can see very complex situations. Dr. German has a great ability to recognize what needs immediate care and how to get immediate results through a comprehensive approach. You can tell he was a previously successful college athlete as he utilize those skills to quickly and decisively assess the medical situation. With a clear understanding of everything at play, he expertly employs strategies, medicine, interventions and other medical staff to achieve their goal. And he has always achieved his goals and my goals to feeling better in treating me every time.

Efficient and compassionate care. I was “backed up.” Dr German has a kindness that shines through his mood and aura. Not only did he address my pain/discomfort, but he also lightened the mood with his sense of humor. While it was a “hard time” in my life, Paul T German made the best of it.

I have had two experiences with Dr. German....both bad. I went in for a stitch in my cut finger. He applied a medicine that was supposed to numb my finger and he would return 30 minutes later. when he left me in the room he threw a box of gauze and me and said "here is something to play with while you are waiting." I was shocked to say the least. the meds did not work and I told him to sew the stitch without numbing so I could leave. He did and the stitch did not hold the cut together so it healed from the inside out. 2nd Case involved my disabled son the Dr. German humiliated in front of two other people. One was a scribe and I don't know the purpose of the other person. I sent a letter to Altru and he was reprimanded for my treatment, but his treatment to my son was deemed 'acceptable'. He was also WRONG ON THE diagnosis for my son.
