Dr. Paul Conarty Jr, MD

This proctologist, aka colon and rectal surgeon, is NOT recommended. This person was not engaging, disinterested and treated me as if I had leprosy. This appointment was a disaster and there was no positive outcome of the meeting. This appointment was a waste of my time and money. The proctologist was not selected for the potential medical procedure. He is a Parkview doc. Potential patients: please choose another physician who is optimistic, caring, interested, and clearly wants to help you and gain your trust as a patient. The U.S. Military always states, “Actions speak louder than words”.

My first interaction with Dr. Conarty was in 2006 and I have been under his care several times since. Each time I have an appointment or procedure with him, he goes above and beyond to explain my options, continuously does research and discusses my case with his clinical group, and follows up accordingly. I cannot recommend Dr. Conarty enough. Because of the excellent care I received from Dr. Conarty and his staff, my son and I are alive almost 17 years later.

Great surgeon! Connarty did my colostomy and now getting ready to do my takedown. Connarty is very good at what he does. Highly recommend.

Had a terrible experience with this Doctor. The procedure wasn't ever explained by him, his bed side manner was dry and uncomfortable. His nurse was great, but that's about it. His skill is certainly not up to par. I am worse off than I went in. Now going to a new doctor to try and fix the painful mess he created. I would not recommend Conarty.

He did not discuss my problem except very shallowly and did not offer recommendations as well as good options. Had office staff call to schedule me for surgery w/o talking to me about the possible outcomes. Very curt!

One of the best doctors I have. He is a skilled surgeon and I have every confidence in his abilities. Before my colon surgery he told me "I've been going over and over in my mind how I'm going to do this surgery and I want everything to be just right." I was running a slight fever the day of my surgery and he postponed surgery for a week because he wanted to make certain everything was as perfect as it could be. I feel like if he doesn't know the answer to my question he will find out.

I was diagnosed with stage 3 genetic colon cancer after losing my sister to it. Dr. Conarty was quite honest & said due to this cancer being genetic, he had never had a case such as mine. He was so genuine on educating himself and had my best interest at heart. My surgery was a success and so was my chemo treatments. Due to the cancer being genetic, my chances of getting rectal cancer is extremely high. I see Dr. Conarty every 6 months for a flexible sigmoidoscopy & 6 years later, all is great!
