Dr. Paul Chu, DO

I went in to to see him about some pelvic pain I was experiencing. Turns out I was pregnant hah! First thing when he came in he didn’t make eye contact and just straight up asked me “If you had a baby on the way, would you keep it?” I was so shocked on how unprofessional that was. I know doctors are suppose to get a heads up about that. But the tone in his voice on he asked that really disturbed me. I was so nervous and asked questions like are you sure? Can I take the test again? He would respond “NO.” Being first time pregnant I asked why the pelvic pain was happening and he literally looked at me as if I was so stupid. “Uhm it’s your hormones acting up” I even cried because obviously being pregnant at the time wasn’t the plan. My nose became stuffy from all the tears and I kept pulling my mask down to wipe away. He told me “You have to pull your mask above your nose, Covid is still happening.” I literally couldn’t at that point. Why does Kaiser hire people like him?!

My experience with Dr. Chu was excellent. He listened to my concerns and took as long as I needed to talk to him. He ordered the tests I needed and referred me to an Infectious Disease Doctor. He was very thorough and very attentive to my reason for coming to see him. The wait was minimal. I was taken at my scheduled time. Doctors don’t know everything but this doctor was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for my medical needs.

Even this star is too much

This doctor sucks! I waited to see him for 4 hours and when i finally did he was highly uneducated! He knew very little and had no solution to help out my injury. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEMD HIM AT ALL! He is a huge waste of time and clearly needs more schooling!!

He isnt very knowledgeable. Just asking him a few basic questions that he couldnt really answer. I dont recommend this doctor at all

Does not seem to be very attentive toward you and your problem. Talks to the computer screen more than he addresses you, and is dismissive toward your concerns. I always wait a long time for him to see me, and he just seems to be interested leaving as soon as possible. This has happened multiple times. I'm switching my PCP.
