Overpriced and Not Helpful
He was brief, not thorough, and nickels and dimes $300 per appointment and will not go over testing or refill prescriptions in an attempt to get you back in for another $300 visit.

Great Neurologist for ppl wit Multiple Sclerosis
I have been seeing Dr.Tessman for 11 years, yes he's not a lovey dovey doctor that it true, but he is the Best Nero I have found to treat my MS. I don't need someone holding my hand telling me everything will be great and the world is filled with unicorns and rainbows, I need a good, accomplished, Neurologist! I don't just have migraines or back pain I have a crippling disease. Every time I am sick I call Gabby and she notifies Doctor Testman and with in that day I am in for treatment, a week later I'm in for a new medication to fight with me against this disease. So no he won't hold my hand and make me feel like everything is fine, because everything isn't fine! But he will do everything in his power to find me a solution. He also fights for his patience, when your Insurance doesn't want to pay for the new medication because it's expensive, he will fight for you to get that medication that you desperately need!

Great Neurologist – Aug 15, 2024

Absolutely terrible. I never saw him. He sent in his 'students' who would then discuss with Tessman. They would then return with his 'recommendations' . Typically it was to go to ER downtown. I haven't returned and found a great neurologist at the Clinic.

Brilliant
After reading the previous reviews I was reluctant to follow through with my initial appointment. If you want to talk about your cats, puppies, etc it wont happen. This doctor is all business and professional and BRILLIANT! I was most impressed when he first entered the room. He was NOT carrying a file, laptop, IPad. He already read your file, test results etc and he knows every detail. He is very thorough and listens attentively to your concerns and answers your questions. After lab tests, scans, etc he prescribes a course of treatment with follow ups at regular intervals. If you are looking for a very top notch neurologist, he's your man.

My daughter was in a coma and she was assigned him as her neurologist. He is very cold and seemed like he could care less about her or the anguish her loved ones were going through. When she awoke from the coma he didn’t crack a smile or even “that’s good “ He looked at her pupils and said “she’ll continue to improve any questions?” and walked out. I would never recommend him.

Very unhelpful. Instead of admitting he doesn't know an answer he will just throw more medications at you. Has no sympathy or people skills in general. My father was diagnosed with TN (a very painful nerve disease) and he offered no help or solution and told my dad to stick it out for a few months and come back to see him. explained NOTHING about the disease itself as well.

Arrogant, evasive, non caring, in a hurry, unkind, and contemptuous are just a few ways to describe this doctor. He doesn’t squarely answer questions and treats patients like they are morons. Dr. Tessman acts like he doesn’t respect patients and he is waisting his time. I saw Dr. Tessman for specific reasons; he gave me medications and said if the meds don’t work, I was to call him. So I called. The answer was to go to the ER or make an appt. Right. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR.

Woman I talked to wouldn't let me get a word in and just kept talking over me. I had to raise my voice to get her to stop talking over me. When I told her the issue I needed resolved, she completely ignored what I said and instead focused on how I raised my voice. She belittled me and talked to me like a child. I asked to talk to the manager, because if I did that I'd be fired from-well anywhere. She hung up on me. I called back and talked to someone else who told me she WAS the manager! NO HELP

Went for an evaluation for back surgery-I have a curved spine. He examined my right side instead of left and said I had carpel tunnel in my right arm! (I had MRI's with me)) I had a stroke and I believe he was my Dr. I was to have A follow up appt. I don't believe he had a clue as to why I was in his office. I felt there was a possibility that I had fluid in my ear. His reply was that he didn't look in ears which can be important to your balance which is a problem with a stroke.

This was my first experience with Dr. Tessman but not with Associates In Neurology. He is very pleasant. He listens very well and wants to understand where you are coming from. He's very though in his exam and his ordering of lab procedures as well as in diagnostic imaging procedures and other tests to further his understanding of your history and symptoms.

Took my 85 year old father to see Dr Tessman for a follow up after a hospital stay. We had no history with him prior to the hospital stay. At 11:15 we were still waiting to see Dr. Tessman for a 10:00 appointment. Just about to leave without seeing him when he finally showed up. He spent approximately 3 minutes with my dad & said everything looks good & no other follow up required. Didn't offer any explanation as to why we sat there for over an hour or even apologize for the wait. Unacceptable!
