Dr. Patrick Kunkel, DO

Great experience as a first-timer. I barely waited to be helped when I checked in. The staff and Dr. Kunkel were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. Kunkel really took his time to explain my condition to me as well as my treatment options. I had a great visit and the doctor’s demeanor has really put me at ease so I highly recommend this clinic.

Likeable, confident, and insightful young man. I needed a small wart removed on my forehead. He did it himself right then and there - took him 5 minutes. I was impressed with his flexibility and can-do attitude. My kind of doctor.

My old doctor moved on so i was assigned dr. kunkel (who i didn't know was a DO) i saw him in person once and another time on video. I'm 70 and in good health, the man has no personality and made some mistakes prescribing a medication, after my visit I immediately switched doctors.

My neighbor referred me to Dr. Kunkel. At that time, she was happy with him. I saw him at his Kendall Yards office. It was not a good experience. I found him to be close minded and rigid. I felt he was overwhelmed by my multiple health issues & dismissive of me. I did not feel heard or respected and I did not feel safe. Interestingly, about a week after my appointment, my neighbor stopped by to apologize for referring me to Dr. Kunkel. She told me that she had had a follow up appointment with him and what she shared echoed my experience. I wanted a compassionate, intelligent doctor that listened without interrupting and dismissing me, a doctor that I could work with, one that would include me in my medical care and not just demand I follow his advice without questioning or input. I do not feel that Dr. Kunkel is that doctor and I won't be returning.
