Dr. Patricia Calvo, MD

I have been seeing the nurse practitioner at this practice for a few years and always pleased with the care. Well, the last checkup was with Dr Patricia Calvo I ended up having a Mammogram that I had a biopsy, and it came back as Cancerous. This physician has absolutely ZERO bedside manner, received a call while at work and bluntly told oh you have CANCER did not really answer any questions or show any concern or care and after that punch in the stomach tells me to have a great day! REALLY? So, if you do not care about kindness and care by doctor when hearing news like this, by all means go to her. I will never go back to this Doctor or this office.

I'm so happy I found Dr. Calvo! She is always caring and careful and takes time to explain what she is doing and to answer all my questions. I really feel cared for. Her office also always fits me in quickly if I have a problem and need to see the doctor. And a bonus: Her office is so cool, with pictures of important women through the ages. If you're looking for a great doctor, definitely give Dr. Calvo and her partner, Dr. Bernstein, a try.

Dr. Calvo is the best. I have been a patient for 20+ years. She always spends time and gets to know her patients. She answers all questions. She is very professional and very caring. I have a very complicated history and a very rough/crazy pregnancy. I even started taking my daughter to her because of complications she is having and after several appointments and multiple long phone calls, when she couldn't find the answers she admitted it and referred us to a specialist. I have recommended her to many friends and everybody loves her.

Dr. Calvo listens to your concerns and gives you her professional recommendations. She is brilliant and I trust her 100% with my health.

Dr Calvo is great. She loves to chat and the visits are fine, but the follow up of her staff is terrible. I spent 2 weeks calling every day straight because my pharmacy said her office wouldn't return their calls either to get my prescription refilled. I never got ahold of anyone - no one ever called me back so I missed one month of my prescription and I only got the next one because it was time for my yearly appt and i brought it to her attention and she ordered it herself right away. Here I am 3 months later and I have now gotten 2 messages from the pharmacy saying they can't get ahold of my doctor for a refill. I am now 2 days into calling and no answer yet. VERY FRUSTRATING! Return calls please!

DO NOT BOTHER GOING. I am mind blown with the lack of patient care from this clinic. I did not even get a chance to speak with the Doctor for a consult, which I was willing to pay $175 in cash. I called twice to verify my insurance, which they said they accepted. The day I show up I was told they do not take my insurance. I said "ok fine, I will pay cash for the consult fee." Then was told the minimum consult fee was $175 but will probably be increased depending on how many questions I asked. They said the doctors have a checklist and apparently if you ask about multiple topics such as hormones, pain, future planing, etc the consult fee increases per the amount of questions. I then asked to please speak with the doctor (I am a doctor myself) and to let her know that I only wanted to ask a few questions and willing to pay the $175 consult fee. They told me that they cannot guarantee that it will only be $175 and since I wasn't comfortable going into an appointment and possibly being c

This office is beautiful with friendly staff members. Dr Calvo’s bedside manor is so warm and compassionate! I’ve been seeing Dr Calvo since she was at the old office/Holy cross group and I will continue to see her as long as I live here in south Florida!

Dr. Calvo is a wonderful physician who has taken great care of me during my two pregnancies. Her level of expertise is top-notch, and I’m always confident that I’m receiving the best care!

I was refused a test results visit with Dr. Calvo as I did not have my bank card on me nor a check book to pay my copay. I am a new patient, never met the doctor, as the first time I was supposed to meet her, I saw her nurse practitioner instead. I was ordered an ultrasound and to meet Dr. Calvo to discuss the results. This office obviously cares more about money than patients. The explanation I was given by the front desk is that per the office manager, they have many accounts in collection, so therefore, I was refused a visit. There is no signage anywhere that co-pay must be paid in advance, regardless. To refuse a patient over a copay when they already collect from my insurance is completely unethical. For the office to further insinuate that I will be another "collections" patient is humiliating and offensive.

I have never had a more pleasant experience than I did with Dr. Calvo, Kelly and the entire staff. From the moment you make the appointment you get one reminder, not 10 like at other facilities, there is always a smiling face to greet you. Gentle, kind, compassionate staff who will answer every question and concern. You have the full attention from everyone. Dr. Calvo and staff treat you with respect, they listen to you, they are patient and wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Calvo and staff

Dr. Calvo does not rush through an appointment. I feel Dr. Calvo takes the time to make sure all of your questions are answered. And I thank you for that! So, I am answering one of your questions. As I said today, I would have to ask my husband about the previous Gibbon's mascot ... They were not always the Chiefs ... they used to be the Redskins! :-)

Lovely office, friendly staff. Love dr. Calvo, have been going to her for years. Explains everything, does not rush thru appointment.

Dr. Calvo was absolutely wonderful. Her staff was very nice. Everyone made me feel comfortable; it was my first visit to see her.

I've gone to Dr.Calvo since 2006. She's very kind, thorough and answers all your questions. Never rushes your appointment. The new office is fantastic! A place that makes women feel relaxed!
