Excellent Dr. One of the last great Drs with an impeccable bedside manner. Very knowledgeable & yet down to earth, listens intentively and works to find the best solution. I've had to travel a lot for work and lived in 3 different states for work and I can say Dr Dandona is THE BEST.

Correlation or Cause?
Dr. Dandona does not know the difference between a correlation and cause. When I complained about the side effects of a new medication I was taking, I was told that the pill did not have those side effects. A double-blind study that a pharmaceutical company uses is the gold standard of correlations - but it is still a correlation. They can't say what a pill can't do, especially when there are comorbidities. Despite not knowing what the new pill he gave to me did, he wanted to increase my medication dosage. When I refused to increase the dosage of a medication that he himself had told me in an earlier visit was something that was not desirable to do, he ignored me and told the resident doctor to increase the dosage. I had to repeat "we are not doing that" and he became furious. Don't let his Rhodes Scholar pedigree fool you. He is a good businessman but a terrible doctor. If you see him, be sure to bring the New York State Patient Bill of Rights with you.

Fantastic!
I am sorry to see Dr. Dandona retire. I have been with him for years. He is hands down one of the absolute best doctors I have evr had the honour and privilege working with. He has impeccable manners and character. His staff is always top notch. He is very compassionate. He is extremely thorough. He will call you. He walks alongside his patients. You are very much apart of the care not an outsider and he works very well with your healthcare team. I recommend him always and forever as well as those who he has personally trained up.

When I met Dr. Dandona he told me that when I saw him next my diabetes would be under perfect control and it was and has been ever since. He also helped me with my thyroid that other doctors did not because my levels were "borderline." I got my energy back and wish I had met him long ago. This Oxford-educated doctor is witty, charming and the best at what he does. I wish there were more doctors like him and I am glad to see that so many bright young doctors are working with him and learning from him.
